To understand Magick you must first understand the central concepts of magick

First: All Magick requires a sacrificial catalyst.

A catalyst can either be an object containing already extracted energy, or a living being.

Second: The strength of the magick is measured by the energy of the catalyst.

Third: The usage of any Magick comes at the expense of a living creature, regardless of intent or purpose. Remember that.

Steps to performing spells and other Arcane performances.

First, one must reach out mentally and establish a connection with a catalyst.

Once a connection has been establish, essense must be channeled from the catalyst to the spell, a spell cannot be performed until enough essence is gathered.

Upon gathering the required essense, the spell may be completed successfully.
