Leigha was shocked at the amount of life and enthusiasm Roth showed when the retrieval of his things was brought up. He brightened and began talking rather animatedly, almost seeming like a different person. She figured getting a few things for him from the apartment would be harmless, and it would bring a sense of comfort. The institute wasn't made to be a prison, and it almost saddened her some people thought of it that way.

Then Roth asked her something that surprised her as well. "I do care a lot about this. Unraveling the mystery behind magic is one of the serious goals in my life and career," she responded, knowing how much she risked leaving her job at the hospital to persue this lifestyle. It had been worth it, though. Taking that chance...it would be worth it. She didn't like the almost condescending tone he'd used to convey his curiousity, though.

Roth continued to be full of surprises, offering to show her how his magic worked. She shook her head, knowing how dangerous that could be. "That won't be necessary," she said. "And some clothes are in the dresser at the corner of the room." She pointed to the location, and stood outside the room.
