"I dare say you're telling that because you barely know anything, right?"
"Huh? Why is it unnecessary?" Hotaru raises a hand.
"Do you have any proof that its necessary, either? Anything, anywhere where magic is truly useful?"
"First, give me a proper use of magic. How's it useful?"
"Well, it make things easier, like using fire in cooking..." Hotaru responded a bit sheepishly, but then remembered what her mother told her. "However according to my mother, Magic can help us to find our true selves... I mean, everyone has affinity for different type of Magic and often it can be a reflection of a personality."
"Well, we can make fire, but we also can create fire without magic, right? Magic...helps us find our true selves? If you ask me, they do the same thing as hobbies."
*gets up from the chair* "Well, anyway, I was lying about magic not being useful.."
"Eh?!" Hotaru did an unimpressed face. Was this teacher even serious?
Inori's heart sank, deep inside.
"You can also do that with something as simple as a sword." Hotaru remarked with a bit of a sarcasm.
"For instance, if i fired Shock Bolt on anyone in this class, like, that girl," *points Hotaru out* " she'll instantly die."
*yellow sparkles fizzle out of his hand*
"...but I won't." *extinguishes the fizzles*
Hotaru did an annoyed pout, but on the inside was relieved she wont be on the receiving end of a lightning spell.
