This is probably a stupid question. Our characters.... are they all in the same place?
Not all of them are in the same place, no- one character who's, say, in the zombie apocalypse is in one dimension, but another who's in a fantasy world is in another. They recognize each other vaguely, but they're in different worlds.
Does that make sense? It makes sense in my head but it's hard for me to transfer it to the English language xD

So they are in spaces, that are next to each other, but they can't cross over into the other's space?
They couldn't until now. Beforehand they weren't allowed to, but now that their outside force is gone they can.
