I've Got a Plane to Catch

"Hi, Are you ok?" Zayala asked extending her hand to Alex, attempting to help him some so he can help her. "Where are we?" The question came out before she could stop herself and she was regretting her blabby mouth.

((Lol couldn't think of another word.... This was the first thing I came up with.))

He took her hand and got up,he didn't want to be rude. He got that bit of bangs out of his face and looked at her“All of us question that,but none of us know,Im sorry i have no idea.”

Zayala scratched her head just as her stomach growled ferociously. She blushed and put her arms across her chest in embarrassment. "I'm sorry, I'm a bit hungry...."

He stared at the others and sighed. His ears twitched as he spread his massive wings and flew up. "Everyone, huddle together...something...something isn't right..." he was eyeing the flower field with Alex and some new person. "Felix, stay here with the others." he flapped his wings as he took off towards the other two.

"That...aura...it isn't right for plants."

Felix sighed and stayed behind with the others of the group.
Alex shook his head“I'm afraid i don't know where any food is either” Something in the sky caught his eye,Zidourn.

Zayala saw a mass fly up into the air and she stopped dead in her tracks. "What is that?" she asked going into defensive mode and summoning Max, Zayla, and Luna. They formed into larger beings, each looking like their smaller form and wielding their weapons of choice. Luna had magic, Max had his whip, and Zayla was just like Zayala. They formed a tight circle around her while Zayala took out her favorite dagger and got ready for the worst, adrenaline pumping through her veins making her forget about how tired and hungry she was..

Landed heavily in the flowers and began to approach them, "Alex, you and your friend need..." he stopped as he looked to his runic arm. One of the plants was biting into it. His thick black blood dripped down as he stood there. He showed no pain, but rage. His aura flaring up suddenly as he bellowed out commands, "Runic Art: True Mass" His body retook its true form bulking up and staring at the plant chewing on his arm. "You two do not move..understood?"

Zayala saw the strange plant gnawing on his arm and decided to comply. Alex, Luna, and Zayla do not attack or make any sudden movements." Zayala whispered as she watched black blood drip down the mans arm. "What are they?" She asked, barley over a whisper.

He glared at the plant, "It seems a plant that eats flesh." He ripped his arm out and slung the armored arm down and ripped out the plants as another bit his leg from the motions, "Damn it..." he took a deep breath, "FELIX!!!! Come here quick. You and your brother need to use your new talent."

Alex stood there,not moving frozen in place watching the blood drip from Zidourns arm he never was good with seeing blood, he did as told resisting the urge to fly off.

Felix stood with the group,unaware of what was happening.That is until he heard his name,he took to the sky and came to us,landing beside his brother.

Zayala watched as a plant attempted to get to her, biting her leg. She almost screamed out, except for the fact that plant let go and went to feast on the others. "Wh-" she started to ask as she saw more approach her and the others, she was already in better shape then the others they had already gotten multiple bites to the arms and legs while she only had one on her leg, bleeding a little. Strange color blood though. she watched the slightly colorful blood turn red again and saw a boy with wings land to the one she had just met.

Felix folded his wings,Alex grabbed Felixs hand,the one that held rune,as if for dear life“Say the words” they held each others hands“Blood rune art:protection” they said at the same time,such good timing.

Jason had sort of wandered off during this time, only looking back once to see if Sydney was still behind him.
She wasn't.
"Sydney...?"
It was then that he noticed a flower retracting back into the ground with an odd slurping sound and Jason's blood went cold. Oh, dear God...
If his Voice was ever needed to desperately it was now, but of course it was nowhere to be seen (or heard, whatever). He tries to focus again and grab the shotgun like he had done before and hoped it would actually work.
It came back to him, but just barely. The wave of exhaustion almost swept him off his feet, but it was manageable- not crippling like the first time.
He locked and loaded his trusty shotgun, shoving his glasses farther up his nose as the studied the flowers all around him for signs of aggression.
Aggression in flowers... Was this seriously what his life had come to?

Zidourn smiled at how well they learned in a short 5 seconds. He felt a bite in his shoulder snapping him from his memory of their potential. He let his runes glow brightly, the energy could be heard charging from the shield. The would be able to watch as Zidourn lifted his arm into the air and slam it back down into earth as he bellowed, "Forbidden Runic Combination: Runic Slam" the earth shook. After a moment energy shoot back through the air into Zidourn's arm then with an explosion of red energy the ground shattered all around him and the Boy's shield. The plants were ripped to shreds. Zidourn crawled weakly from the hole, his runes like dying embers, "Its safe...you guys are safe...."

Zayala was shocked at their power, but not shocked enough to not help the man out of the hole. Quickly she ordered her friends to go back to their original state and stepped over to the man to help him up off the ground, extending her hand. "Are you ok, and what was that?" she asked amazed and scared at the same time.

Jason was knocked off his feet by not the tiredness but from what appeared to be a minor earthquake. With a yelp he landed on his back and the flowers started to sink their teeth into him-
But Jason, luckily, had been in these kinds of situations before, only instead of man-eating flowers they were aliens. He instinctively jammed the shotgun muzzle into the mouth of a plant going for his jugular and blew it apart, reloaded with one swift motion, and repeated the process with several other plants. He was holding his own, not too shabby for a nerdy scientist.

The brothers had watched what Zidourn had did,watching as all the plants around them were tore.
Alex was still shook up from what all just happened.Everything.
Felix released Alexs hand and dusted his hand on his jeans,and looked at his brother,“Dude..we're good” Alex looked at Felix,Then both looked to the others.

"I don't know whats going on, but I want to go home and eat a cheeseburger." Zayala said holding her hands up and calculating the safest and fastest way out of the deadly plants. She honestly thought these people were crazy for staying in a meadow with man eating plants and who knows what else.

He slowly rose up. His body slowly healing before them. His runes flickered drawing energy from the blades now, "One more," he began charging as he spread his wings then darted back to the small human. The blast of his weapon having grabbed his attention. He would go to crash his body into the plants. Most his runes flickering. "Grab my hand, quickly" he extended his armored hand to her.

Zayala watched the man take flight and land next to the nerdy human, probably scaring him. Zayala was allowed to call them mundanes, mortals, or humans she just chose to call them "Other Beings". They had no powers so they shouldn't get a special name to her.
