One of many mountain passes within the mountain range, dangerous to travel, but necessary to successfully travel by land. Who knows what you may find here or encounter?
Finding a new purpose in life Eva pushed her frame forward towards the mountain pass, accompanied by her new friend. She was sure she would be able to reach Arterius in no time! Parting her lips albino girl spoke “Have you ever been in Arterius before?” Eva asked, curious about her friend's past. “Yes, but I was there a long time ago. The town changed, but..” he paused for a moment gently guiding Eva to the side to avoid some rocks. The terrain became more steep as women approached the mountain pass. “Focus on walking.” the ghost said to the girl.

Clearly he didn’t want to speak about his past. As Eva pushed deeper towards Arterius the road became more rocky and uneven, once in a while Eva would stumble but quickly regain her balance thanks to the ghost. “Can you describe the place we are in?” Eva asked. “Well, there are lots of rocks, few trees growing from the side of the mountain.” The ghost gave a vague description of the place. “Oh, anything else?” Eva asked. Ghost looked around for a moment. “There is a mountain lion. Eva fight!” he shouted moving behind the pale girl. “Mountain lion? What’s that?” Eva asked as she never heard about such a thing.

Not now, fight.” Listening to the ghost Eva pulled out her knife while the ghost took a lead. He used Eva as a tool sometimes in the most literal way. Ghost controlled the girl's movement, when the cat pounced, Eva moved away from harm's way “Stab!” a ghost shouted, Eva’s right arm darted forward, the blade sunk into the predator's flesh but that wasn’t enough to deter the hungry cat from its meal.
Days blurred together after riding for so long. Yet, there was a luxury to this. It was not a blur of forgetfulness due to boredom or staleness. Aurok simply found it hard to keep track of the passage of time while he was out here, feeling so free. The Valley he hailed from was no prison at all. Quite the contrary, it was a paradise. He was the sort of soul who longed for more though. Who lived for the adventure, and what vastness the world at large had to offer. Equally so, what ever he could offer to the world as well! Packed nicely and in tow with him, a cart of goods. Products of his people! The cart was hitched like a ricskhaw to Auroks trusty mount. Gale padded along the mountain trail at a smooth pace, with the cart arms hooked to his armor, and his rider asleep up in the saddle. The tattered cloak the man wore covered his form almost entirely, and atop his head was his conical farmers hat. Aurok bobbed and swayed gently up in the saddle as Gale continued on, getting some rest in as his companion guided them along these trails.

Towards Arterius!

A new city, and land surrounding that Aurok had never ventured to. Considered to be of the furthest of stretches away from his Valley, and the gap in technology equally so! Most Typhin Elves would never dare dabble around such a culturally different place. Aurok on the other hand was fascinated with learning more about this city of booming technology and social structure. Which was why he brought with him an entire cart of goods this time, opposed to perhaps just some bags of rice. No, the elf came ready for his stay in these lands! Art, instruments, produce, tools, and even artifacts of the fabled Typhin Elementalists. Scholars and researchers of the Aether would do backflips to get their hands on some of this stuff, just to study and have a glimpse into the hidden valley! With the chance of speaking with a Typhin directly as well, no less! Aurok was an opportunity, slowly approaching the city, that no one knew was coming!

A buzzing in his mind stirred Aurok from his sleep. Something that had caught Gale's attention beneath him. The large mountain lizard, known as a Saber Stalker, had been alerted to the presence of another predator around the bend. Gales heightened senses, and telepathic connection to his companion, made for a symbiotic relationship. They looked out for each other. Benefitted one another. They were friends too, on top of that. Stalkers, highly intelligent creatures in their own right, despite the inability to verbally communicate. The telepathic bond they form with their companions though was rumored to speak volumes about them though, and now Typhins over their entire history had communed with these predatory beasts. It was times like this that reflected such bonds too, as Aurok stirred and lifted his head from his slumbering state.

"...take it slow..." The man whispered, as he adjusted his cloak now, pulling it off to reveal his body. Bare skin, and metal! Not armor, no. It was part of him, and not just an accessory upon his arms and legs! Bio-organic, Typhin metal. Most commonly upon the arms and legs of these people. Otherwise in rare cases too, up their backs, on their shoulders, and sometimes lining the jaw. Aurok was quite common in his appearance, all things considered by his people. But quite the sight none the less. 6'2", and with a body looking like it was carved by nature. Probably true, considering all his traveling. Spinning himself out of the saddle, Aurok quickly unhitched the cart and let it drop off Gale's armor. The elf quickly wedge some rocks at the wheels, and laid the cart arms down to let it rest, before giving Gale a pat on the hind quarters, silently sending him off. The Stalker lurched forward then. Fast! Low! Quiet! Up into the rocky walls, and higher than the trail now, to start searching. Meanwhile, Aurok fetching his own needed tool for the scouting ahead of them. He reached into the cart and retrieved his signature weapon. An outlandishly long, solid metal spear! A Single piece of shaped and folded metal! Etched with runic markings of his people, which upon handling became aglow! Wispy trails of white-ish smoke fumed from the runes, with hints of sky blue in the hue. Aurok spun the weapon around him, adjusting his grip to center-mass, before he too now took off into the rocks and began climbing. Fast! Low! Quiet!
The cat didn’t waste time, it pounced on the blind woman again, swiping its razor sharp claws at the pale girl. But the ghost moved her to the side once again avoiding death. “Is it dead?” Eva asked “Not yet. Prepare to strike again.” ghost replied. Mountain lions shoulder area was bleeding, but the cat didn’t turn away; it began to slowly pace in circular motions. Meanwhile Eva was slowly shifted to face the mountain lion. “Do you trust me?” the ghost asked “Of course I trust you, why would you ask such a thing?” Eva asked, confused looking behind her shoulder. “Shift knife so blade pointed down.” Ghost instructed, Eva did so without questioning her friend.

When the lion pounced again Eva found herself in the air, from the side it looked like an invisible force tossed girl in the air. Before she changed her triactory in the air and launched towards the beast. “NOW SLASH!” ghost instructed. Eva followed her companions commands, slashing the beast's flesh this time the wound was deep enough. Letting out a hiss mountain lion took off, Eva was shaking.

She had no idea what was happening to her, she never performed anything like that before. “I-i-is it gone?” Eva asked. “For now. Let’s continue our journey” Ghost replied. “Ugh…” Eva groaned before throwing up, wiping her lips Eva sighed “Sorry… I'm not used to being tossed like that.” she said then began to walk forward, but trust was mountain lion while injured didn’t run away. It was preparing to strike again, hiding, stalking, waiting for its target to be in a vulnerable state.
In the distance, Eva could probably hear the death howls of the mountain lion while the cheer of men can be heard. The marching of feet against the stony ground could be felt of a good few dozen men. They bantered and bickered with one another, there armor and weapons clanking around as they move.

As they move around the corner in view of Eva, it would become apparent that these “men” were skeleton soldiers! Clad in various degree of armor, they seem like a militia with tattered chainmail and gambeson being there armor while most carried spears, some carried swords but all had small shields except one which was a skeleton sergeant that carried a large wooden shield and his armor was most intact and carried a spear. Upon spotting Eva, they all stopped and stared at the blind woman.

They bickered to one another “What shall we do? Mistress told us to stay away from mortals…here’s one now, what do we do?” Are the various questions they were asking themselves till one from the back yelled “She can be one of us! Let’s rip her bones out!” Which spurred the rest into action as they cheered in approval, the skeleton sergeant tried to stop them but it was too late and the few dozen skeleton warriors came charging at Eva!

Though thanks to the narrowness of the pass, only a few in front at a time but still outnumber her by quite a bit.
It looked like the wild cat finally left Eva alone making her way forwards towards Arterius. The girl couldn’t imagine what horrors she would face. Eva could hear distant metal clang that got closer, and closer every passing second. Eva couldn’t see, but her ears and nose became her new eyes. She felt the stench of rot and death in the air which made her stop in her tracks. “Ghost?” Eva asked, but the ghost didn’t respond. Instead he grabbed the girl by the wrist forcefully pulling her to the opposite direction “RUN!” Ghost finally spoke, pushing Eva forward. She could hear voices and words that made her blood run cold. Due to the narrow pass Eva had no place to take a cover, she was sandwiched between steep rocks and what looked like an endless void that waited for Eva. The girl ran as fast as her legs could carry her.
The skeleton squad continued to rush towards her, stumbling and bumping into each other thanks to the narrow past. “We rip out her bones! Offer her bones to the mistress!” Some cried out within the horde. “Tan her skin to fix our armor!” Another cries out but this only vigored the rest as they cried out in celebration which only motivated them more as they slowly were catching with the blind woman.

If Eva was perceptive, she would feel or hear the hooves of a horse coming towards her fast. The sound of armor also coming from the same direction from where the horse was coming from as the skeleton company continued to get close, throwing some spears and swords at her.
Her legs felt like it was set on fire. She was exhausted from the long journey, but couldn’t rest. Eva ran as fast as her body allowed her; she couldn’t see her attackers, but the stench of death and screaming sent chills down her spine. But there was another sound of hooves approaching from different directions. Was it more creatures that wanted to harm her?
Even though Eva couldn’t see the possible cavalry that was coming towards her, though lucky her the lone horseman was riding hard and fast. As if coming from sun, his armor gleamed, clean and polished as it gave off a soft Aether blue glow thanks to Aether infusion it has in it thanks to the various blue connectors on the armor.

The horse was heavily armored too and knew no fear. The fearsome knight wore no helmet, his long white locks blew as he rode as his pale showed that he was just as pale as Eva.

The pale rider would easily smashed into the surprised skeleton force, multiple skeleton warriors shattering upon the impact and falling to there doom. The rider was skilled and the horse was well trained able to maneuver in such a small space and using both himself and the horse as one fighting unit, as man swung his warpick easily smashing into the skeleton rabble and the horse using its legs to smash the skeletons as well.

Prominent upon the shoulder is the crest of the Holtzen, showing that the knight is part of the Holtzen family. Using the sheer power the knight has and the small amount of space, he was effortless able to take care of the skeleton rabble that was after Eva.

With most of the rabble dealt with, the rest turned and run. The knight would slowly get over to Eva and look down with his hand extended “Are you okay, Miss? Need a ride into the city?” He asks her politely as his show concern for her safety.
Eva felt trapped sounds coming to both sides and there was nowhere to run. Ghost pulled blind girl to the side, Eva pressed her back against the rocks. She listened as galloping got louder and louder followed by gusts of wind. The horse rushed by inches away followed by loud noises. When the noise calmed down Eva heard a horse approach her followed by a soft voice. “Um… Yeah I think I'm fine.

Thank you for dealing with those things.” Eva spoke not really knowing what exactly chased her. Eva felt her hand being moved by Ghost to meet strangers, clearly Egon couldn’t see Ghost. “Oh I'm sorry. I can’t see.” Eva said taking males hand into hers “If it’s not too much trouble.” Eva added, now shifting her head towards the general direction of Egon. If Egon helped Eva to get on the horse Eva would get on the horse before two travelled to the city.
Egon was a bit surprised to hear that this woman he had saved was blind. “Being here in your condition is dangerous” he would say as he would help her up on the back of his horse. He would get the horse to gallop away. “I’m Egon, may I ask for your name miss?” He would ask as he purposely left out his title and surname. “Anywhere particular in the city you are heading towards? It’s gonna take a little bit, but would be nice to know any specific destination” he would say to her wandering if she had any specific destination she was heading to.
Hearing male talk, Eva smiled faintly “How careless of me I guess, but..” she paused. Instead she wrapped hands around her torso. She pressed her chest against males back making sure she didn’t fall off the horse. Hearing man introduced himself as Egon, blind girl spoke “Eva.” she said softly. “I’m travelling to Arterius, I’m looking for a man. Well my friend told me to find him, the man goes by the name of Enrst Holtzen.”Eva said without thinking much. Perhaps Egon could help to find her the man?
He somewhat her pressed against him as he rode hard down the mountain, though the armor prevented him from feeling her entire being on him. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Eva” he replies back as he listened to why she was traveling to the city. Though upon hearing the name, he stopped his steed as he looks behind him at her. “Do you know who you are asking for? He is the head of the Holtzen family here in Arterius, one of the families that keeps the city afloat” he says to her as he looks at her, he purposely left out that he was his son as he had no idea why she wanted to see him. “Why do you need to see him?” He would ask to see if he can get information out of her.
Eva listened to Egon speak, explaining who the man she was seeking. “Yes, my friend told me he was an important person in the city. “ When Egon asked why she wanted to see Ernst, Eva went silent “I am afraid it's a very private matter. I will discuss it only with Sir Ernst.” Eva said holding tightly to Egon as they both got closer to Arterius.
Egon was incredibly suspicious of her cagey nature about seeing his father. Egon knew this woman was no one important, she was dressed the part, no carriage or anything about her screams important person. To Egon, she could be a blind crazy woman who wants his father dead. As he rode he says “Well I can’t take you to him, but I can at least drop off at the city as that is where you want to go” he says to her as they continued to ride. He wasn’t really sure what he should do and thought maybe just dropping her off would be fine.
Hearing males reply Eva let out a sigh “I understand. I didn’t expect you to take me directly to him. Life isn’t that simple, but that’s okay fate will bring us together. Yes, thank you very much Egon. Just let me know when we arrive.” Eva spoke softly. She didn’t expect some random person to help her with her quest. Clearly he was military type, but that didn’t mean he knew anyone important.
