Stalls and storefronts abl8nd in this long street! Food's and baubles and flowers, and so very much more.
It was not solely without its rewards. The dragoness walked from stall to stall. A bounty hunter by her own trade since coming to this land. As odd and out of place it made her feel. The bounties were indeed ripe for the taking. From her eyes it seemed not many were capable of handling the higher priced ones. Though she herself not realising that someone was working on throwing a bounty on her own head.

Purchasing her provisiones the dragoness was rather tall like the others of her race. Standing slightly over 6'0. Clad in a black shirt underneath a small chest of metal links. Her lower body consisted of small tight black short shorts under a sash and metal plates put together with leather strips to protect her thighs from the front. She wore no shoes as clawed and scaly feet and legs was protection enough. A lone long sword in it's sheathe at her side. Every bit like the warrior she was born to be.

As she was so focused on getting provisions, she was not watching her surroundings very well and she accidently bumped into another."
My apologies, I was not watching where I was going." It was a simple apology and she would start to walk towards the bounty board. Not aware that she was just about to be attacked. The larger male beginning to take a full swing at her from behind. Making a loud grunting noise as he did so. Only she just heard it a bit to late, spinning around to maybe meet her death. Either way, something was bound to happen.
CLANG! the sound of a hatchet slamming and bouncing off a shield as a fellow with dark hair and skin slipped into view. A curved sword in one hand, a shield with a blade protruding from one edge in the other. "Ah, pardon me ma'am. I'll handle this. City guard duties and all that. Though if I may interject!" He said as he used the shield to force the assailant back. "Your scales are wonderfully maintained. They look beautiful." The attacker took a swing which merely ender up sliding off the blades. "How rude. Im.trying to have a conversation here you know.."
Caught surprised was indeed what she was. This seemingly normal human was guarding her from what could of been a bad situation. Watching him push back the attacker. "City guard helping me? Color my scales shocked you even speak to me. All of them merely ignore me." Indeed this was different than what she was used to and the comment on her scales was well heard and she liked that. Perhaps a charming human indeed. But for her it was all about strength and being straightforward.

"Thank you for the assist. Also would you like me to assist you? Oh my name is Myrabell." She at least passed her name and was ready to get involved should he need it. This man had a bounty after all but she had not seen it yet. "Tell me though why did you come to guard me where all the others turn a blind eye?" Merely curious as was her nature to be so.
"Ignoring you? Well I'll have to have a chat with some folks about negligence of duty. Oh and I'm quite alright" another deflected blow from tye berserker followed by a bash to the chest via shield delivered by arvek. "Part of my job really ma'am. One moment." He'd wouod focus a bit more on the attacker. "You sir are starting to get on my nerves." This was followed by a brutal knee to the gut and finally a shield bash to tye side of head, sending the fellow out cold sprawling to the ground. "Much better." Other members of the guard would arrive on scene and thusly arvek would deliver orders.

"Cuff this man for attempted armed assault and resting arrest with a deadly weapon." Orders given he would sheath his blade and turn to myrabell. " are you alright citizen?"
The space above her eyes would raise a bit at the display. However as the man fell she would catch a slip of paper. Opening it up, her eyes would scan the entire thing and then look up at the guard as he gave orders to the other. As she looked at the paper she crumbled it up in her hand as he spoke to her. "Yes I am well thank you for the assistance. I uhh.. have to go now...." She would turn and walk away into the crowd of people. The paper however would land at his feet as it seemed fate was ever changing itself.

The paper showed a bounty on her head. From a far off kingdom in the north. Stating she was wanted for killing a high ranking official and fleeing with all the money. A sizable bounty on her head that would easily make her a target for anyone. The question was, would someone try to chase her down. She herself knew why it was placed but being near the guard might of been far too risky. However the sounds of her scales rubbing against her armor would make it easy to track her. She was after all, terrible at stealth and was heading into a nearby tavern.
"WAIT! Why are you running?! I need a witness statement. What's got you so spooked." He said as he sprinted after her.
She ran through the door and knocked over several patrons and she apologized for that. Finding herself however face to face with some hired muscle she was forced out with a warning. To which she would look and see him. However instead of running she would stand firm, despite the looks she was getting, she would not run anymore.

"What else would you like to know? " She figured he had all the information he needed. Unless there was something else at work here. Then again she was unsure and she held that paper crumbled up in her hand to prevent him from seeing it. Last thing she needed was to be arrested.
"What you were doing prior to the assault. Also..show me that paper. Clearly it has you spooked and as a law enforcement official I'd like to know why." He stated, bringing his personal authority to bear. "If there's an issue or an unjust bounty or something we can work it out and have that all sorted."
I was just walking to the bounty board when we bumped into each other and he attacked me. I even apologized but that did not seem to matter I guess." She says softly as he mentioned the paper and she did not want to give it over at all. However being truthful to one who basically saved you from death was the honorable thing.

She would hand it over." Apparently A bounty was placed on my head in a different kingdom I visited a very long time ago. I work and live as a mercenary and bounty hunter. I dont know why one would be put on my head. I only ever follow orders." Remarking that much as she watched him.
He'd look it over for a second. "Well. This is.. unenforceable really." He would say as he tore the bounty in half. I haven't seen that bounty before so it's clearly not on the boards. Which mean they came to collect it from outside the territory. I wouldn't worry about it too much "
She watched him tear up the piece of paper. He had a point, unless it was in this area then she was in the clear. Though she knew that she needed to clear it up eventually. Watching him a moment she would speak to him."Your unlike any guard I have ever met." Stating that with a wink.

"Are you by chance needing any assistance around? I make it a point to help out anywhere I am needed. I may be a bounty hunter but I also like to help otherwise." She says with an air of confidence while waiting for his response. She seemed very proud.
"Actually I'm about to go off my shift, though I wouldn't mind having some company for the evening to get dinner with if you'd like to join me." He'd offer with a smile. "That is if you'd care for my presence any longer" miss..oh forgive me. May I ask your name?"
This was something else entirely. She had not ever been asked to join someone for food or even so much as a date. He wanted her company of all things. Must be a strange one to desire an evening with a dragon like herself. With a smile she responded."If your sure about it, yes I would be delighted to do so." She was entirely naive to this entire thing. It had her a bit curious if she was to be honest.
He would offer his hand, whether she took it or not he'd lead her to one of the the outdoor eating areas provided by one of the many stalls.
She would let her hand be taken and she would follow along behind him. As they neared one of the tables she would take a seat and stare at him with curious eyes." What made you want to be a guard? Aside from helping and protecting people?" She wondered.
"It is my honor to serve the people. Are you hungry? I can cover the tab" He'd offer. "But. Yes. Protecting people was the primsrybreason."
"Well that is an admirable reason. Me I tend to be a jack of all trades. From my lands far to the south. I was bred and born in war. So fighting is all I really know. That man back there managed to catch me off guard." Of course she was also of the dragon species, so in truth she would have survived in the end perhaps." I live and work as a bounty hunter now. Not the most glamirous of jobs but it pays well."

She gave him a soft smile." I'll just have something with meat. I don't like much else." After a moment she spoke again." So despite the occasional fights like that, does anything ever surprise you here still?" She wondered.
