Cut Matt just swimming in mid-air to Butter then grabbing her slightly. Making her to stop spinning. "There ya go."
"Anyway, not to realize this but your body is- Kinda half paper, Butter. Just not to alarm ya."
Flop. Hmm, everything seems to be normal. But in one minor condition. Matt and his friends are now paper! "Wh-"
"No, it appears we are in the Paper Mario universe."
"So, are we like paper or something?"
She'd casually fold Matt "now I can keep track of you forever!" 
Matt un-crumples himself. "Aye! Just because i'm paper just means ya can't do that!"
"Im sorry-" she mutters pressing her finger tips together "forgive me please?" Who owns this cow, WHO TAUGHT HER THIS CAUSE IM EXECUTING THEM-
Cue Matt just sighing deep. "Fine.."
she them runs off probably to go find a tablet so she can reanimate herself (mostly cause I see this as a makeshift anime-)
Uh oh, there's paper enemies in the way. Better deal with them, aye?
