Cassandra had finally came back to the base camp with firewood, and had already lit it on fire by the time Varian crawled out from under the tent's shelter. "Hey, did you take a nap or something while I was gone?" She raised her brow. "No, reading." He yawned. "I'm tired though, so maybe we can go to bed soon..."
"Oh we will, don't worry." Cassandra sat down nearby the fire and yawned.
Varian sat down next to her and smiled.
"So what were you reading?" She quipped, asking. "Ah, Tales of Flynnigan Rider! It's a great book, it's where Eugene got his moniker from." He happily replied. "Oh really?" Cassandra raised a brow.
"Mhm!" Varian nodded. "You can read the books I brought if you'd like?"
"Maybe sometime. Thanks for sharing your books." Cassandra patted his head, his face blushing a bright red. "Y-you're welcome Cassie." He gave her a goofy little, bucktooth'd smile.
Eventually, when the fire slowly died out, Cassandra and Varian headed inside the tent to head to bed. All wrapped up in their blankets, head rested on their pillows. "Goodnight Cassie. First Riddle is tomorrow." Varian murmured. "Goodnight Varian. Let's hope you did your research on it..." She replied, yawning.
And the two went to sleep.
