Full disclosure gang — I”m doing my holiday travel in The Netherlands this year! This was a trip I was supposed to go on in February, but my dog died 3 days before so it was rescheduled to November. This is a trip I’ve been saving for for several years, and it’s basically a pre-planned and pre-paid carve-out from Terra Incognita time. 
I just wanted to be clear about that so people weren’t thinking I was taking the money and going out partying around the world or anything. I've had a ton of anxiety about people worrying about this trip being a bad sign.
I even have my laptop with me and have been doing some work on avatar pieces on the long plane rides!

Take it from someone who just crawled out of chaotic situation, a trip you've been planning for and the downtime that comes with it is yours for the taking. Enjoy it -- you deserve and earned it. Thank you for all you do for us. I promise we'll behave while you're gone.
