He looked up with soft green eyes at Karang but said nothing back. He sat up with a cringe revealing his bloody bandaged scars. He moved his white hair to the side out of his face. He looked at 1812 who was playing with random objects around the room, like the lamp. On his back was his wings, at least what was left of them. They were nothing but stubs now, stubs covered in blood bandages.

Karang was saddened by the loss of wings; certainly, there were other ways to fly without them, but it would never be like the natural way of flying. True, Amphipteres were highly magical, but Karang was only 230. Most of them didn't hit their magical prime until around 400, so he still had a long way to go before he had completely mastered everything. Even then they couldn't do certain things, like replace limbs, so even if he had wanted to he couldn't grow them back. The poor thing was grounded until he learned to fly with magic- at this point pearls were his best shot, as pearls were extremely powerful sources of magic for dragons. That was how the orientals flew, after all.
<What happened?> he asked, cocking his head to the side.
<it came from no where. just attacking and distorting everything. it cut my wings off. it even drank my blood> He face didn't change as he spoke back telepathically.
1812 started chewing on a candle that wasn't lit. "nananana" The dragon still watched him.
"Don't eat that, it'll make you sick," he told 1812, prying the candle from his grasp and putting it back where it belonged before turning to the dragon again. <Could you see what it was?>
"A demon... but different... he did seem to have a mind... I mean he just continued to attack and attack like a monster. Demons have always been pest to others but not like this....something is very wrong" He shuddered and looked down.
1812 walked over to the dragon, "dou dou dou"
The dragon looked at him and softly patted his head. "I've seen you somewhere before... but I can't remember where."
Karang mulled that over, watching 1812 vacantly. <Where were you when you got attacked? I'll go check the place out when we're done here.>
<it's dangerous... You could be killed if that creature is still there.> the dragon shook his head and watched 1812 play with his fingers sitting on the bed.
<If things start getting too sketchy I'll teleport and get the hell out of there,> Karang insisted, shrugging. <There's a method to my madness.>
"Okay, but use cautioned . There is a cave just outside the town. Across the desert, it's not far. That is where I was living for a bit. It looks awful now." He sighed, "be careful, please don't disappear" he said nervously..
"If I disappear, it'll only be because I've shifted planes or turned invisible," he told the dragon with a slight smile as he stood up again. "What's your name?"
"Quetzal Lunici, you?" He took 1812's hand away from touching his face and 1812 tied his his other hand and Quetzal grabbed that hand as well.
"Karang Kandirarak," he replied, looking down at 1812. "You mind if I leave him here while I'm gone? Just in case something does happen I don't want him in my way, because if that happens we'll both go down... He'll be safer here."
"I don't mind, what is his name and why does he act like this?" 1812 yelled happily rolling in the blankets on the bed making Quetzal laugh a bit.
"I don't really know what his name is or why he's like this," he confessed. "All I know is that he calls me his dog and that's about it." He ruffled 1812's hair and walked to the door, shrugging his shoulders to loosen his wings from their tightly folded position. "I'll be back, I promise."
1812 watched him, "ah!" he reached his arm out like don't leave. Quetzal softly patted 1812's back, "he will be back in just a few." He smiled softly. 1812 laid down, "og."
"I'll be back," he repeated quietly before closing the door behind him. He padded silently down the hallways until he was outside again, getting his bearings for a moment before spreading his wings and launching himself into the air. With a few powerful flaps he was coasting in a circle, figuring out with direction the desert was in and gliding in that direction on a bank of hot air, keeping his senses alert for any possible threats.
The cave wasn't hard to miss, it was huge and looked more like a huge building made into the cave. though now it was broken in some spots and bloody all over, even from the sky to was easy to see there was a fight that had taken place there.
Karang coasted above it for a minute, frowning, before slowly descending and landing in the cave. Remembering poor Quetzal, he morphed his wings back into his shoulders just to play it safe before sniffing the air and taking a look around.
Whatever it was, it was mean.
A low growl came from a dark corner and two red eyes started coming closer. Out came a humanoid demon with glowing red eyes, his long black tail whipped around him, black magic poured off of him and it could be seen he wasn't in control of his actions. Quetzal's wings laid at his feet along with a dead bodies of a woman and two children. He growled deeper.
Karang would've flared his wings if they had been out, but he had morphed them away so they'd be somewhat safer so they didn't. Instead his shoulders tensed as he took a precautionary step back, baring his fangs slightly in a warning as he quickly filed everything away in his memory and prepared to shift planes if needed. He didn't exactly want to hurt this thing as it seemed something else was controlling it- what exactly that other thing was, he didn't know.
