In a hot dry desert, where all that can be seen for miles are rolling dunes, not all is as it seems. An entrance is simply stairs leading down into the sand, often even covered by it. The occasional lost traveler might find the entrance to the desert ruins, but not many go far in. Those that do however, discover the ruins to be filled with life. Most of its people are pale from the lack of sunlight, but a fair amount are tanned. These are the travelling merchants that brave the hot sand to sell their wares to other cities in the desert country of Solaar. This is it's capital though, Halaar, and the main street is filled with men and women hawking their wares. The ruins go even deeper, with houses right on top of each other and streets crossing underneath. At the bottom, a lake sustains the people, far from the drying heat of the sun.
