*I sit by a window in the commons, a book open in my lap, but I'm not reading, just staring out the window, watching the rain. My friends are sitting around me talking and laughing*
I walks in, my colorful robe flowing around as I joke with my crew. One of my friends notices Ellie and nudges me. "Dare you to go sit next to her." He whispers.
I walk over and subtly slide on the end of the bench by the window. "Salutations!" I say to her smiling.
"Salutations? Really?" He thinks to himself.

*i stifle my laugh, my friends shoot looks at him* Hello, do I know you?
"Ah, no. At least, I think not." I say winking. "I'm Max Thunder. But I know you. The popular Ellie Jenkins." He says with a laugh.
"Oh?" I'm startled by his response, "Well Max I hate to go, but I really should be getting to dance."
"Oh? Do you have to tap away so soon?" He curses himself inside.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
My friends started to laugh, so I kicked the one closest to me. "Why um...why don't you walk me there?"
I jump up, holding out my hand. "I'd love to! I mean it's the gentlemanly thing to do!" I beam happily.
I smile at him but don't take his hand. I grab my backpack and get up. "The dance studio is across campus, so we're going to have to get an umbrella"
"Oh...hey wanna see a magic trick?" Without waiting for an answer, I take off my robe and put it over an empty box on one of the tables. "And...."
I rip the robe back and an umbrella is in the box. "Tada!"
I rip the robe back and an umbrella is in the box. "Tada!"
"Oh wow!" I smile with a small laugh, "that's actually really cool!"
"I try." I pass her the umbrella and pick up one of her bags for her. "So, where to?"
"I'll lead the way I guess!" I open the umbrella as we walk outside, we hurry across the yard to the other side of the school and get inside. "The studio is upstairs, so thank you." I hand him the umbrella, "it was really great to meet you."
"Yeah, maybe we'll run into each other again...Enjoy your dance class!" I smile and turn back, walking into the rain back to campus.
When dance class is over I stay longer to work on my routine. I lace up my pointe shoes and start to practice.
After leaving Ellie, my friends and I go to karate class, where I practice while thinking about Ellie. "I wonder what type of dance she does.... Would it be weird to ask? Why am I thinking about her while getting punched at!?!" He wonders.
As I’m going through my routine, I hear voices in the hallway. It sounds like arguing. I turn down the music slightly, and press my ear to the door.
“What do you mean they want to question us?” The voice of our principal came muffled through to me.
“Well it happened on our grounds didn’t it? If we don’t allow them to question us, it’ll only get worse.” The other voice I didn’t know.
Our principal sighed and mumbled something I couldn’t quite hear. Then footsteps, and they were gone. what the heck?

A little while later, I leave from the school dojo, sweating from the rigorous workout and ready to shower. "Uhh, why did have to make the dorms across campus?" I mutter as I walk across the well-kept lawns.
I’m crossing the campus when I see Max walking to. I jog up to him, “hey.”
I smile, really hoping she doesn't notice how sweaty I am. "Hey, what's going on! Done with dance class?" I ask.
