Original herd member centaur information and standards. (It sounds worse than it is! I swear)AppearanceOver all appearance - standard 'human' upper body. With the exception of longer elf like ears ranging in length. Open to player choice until it is abused, do not abuse it, please...
Skin color - Open to player's choice, just for now, no unnatural colors. IE reds, blues, green etc, you know what is unnatural. Vitaglo is open but does cause some health issues with a character.
Back mane - A centaurs' mane extends from the base of the neck to just below the loin. This is open to both female and male characters. Some taurs' choose to have it shaved down completely. Others like to have it on display and braided as a show of 'status'.
Colors - color of your centaur depends on the type of taur’ you have chosen. Horses, cattle, and goats have a lot more color choices than say a deer or antelope types. That being said, there is some leniency that will be given. Deer have been documented as coming in piebald patterns, as well as being albino or pure black.
Breeds - Members of the original herd consist of mostly horse cross-breeds. There are a few goat, deer, and llama taurs' mixed in.
Yes, there can be hybrid babies but do keep in mind what that baby might look like.HeightThe height of a centaur can either be the D&D one where they are classed as large or huge humanoid. The height being 7 feet tall in the D&D book and the weight being 2,100 pounds. Weight of course fluctuates between individuates, and is not tracked by admins.
Mini? A mini character is a taur' that is no taller than 4 feet at the top of the head. Types might include some goat types, some deer, and antelope types. Minis require special permission, though. Just as anyone that would want to be a giant type of centaur, you require permission as well.AgeCentaurs are long-lived. Often living to the 200 range
Foal 0-5
Adolescent 6-16
Young adult- 17-49
Adult 49-82
Mid-adult 82-115
Elder 115-200
A foal is dependent on its mother for its foal years (up until its 4)
It must nurse. If the mother is lost in birth or due to other forces, then a new mother must be found or risk the death of the foal.
Adolescent centaurs can get along on their own, but still need the guidance of their elders. They are not yet strong enough for hard lifting jobs.
Young adult centaurs can start taking jobs and have also reached the age of sexual immaturity. First heats are common in females of this age, and care must be taken with females of this age.
Adults are at the peak of physical builds and sexual maturity. A mare has a lower risk of stillbirth or death from birth at this age. Stallions will often fight for command of lands at this age.
Mid adult mares start to lose receptiveness and births at this age are risky.
Elder the body starts to slow and wear down over time. Mares are infertile and most stallions have lost lands or battles.

The lawsNo one is above the law of the land, and the herd. We rise together, and share the stumbles.
- Murder - Punishable by death after a fair trial. Death is swift and without torture.
- Theft - There is no limb taking, but there must be a debt repaid through work.
- Honestly, just don't be dicks to one another...

Special eventsThe Lasso (name change welcome pls)Every other breeding season, there is a running of the single females or males (inclusivity!). They decorate each other or themselves to look nice. Then they gather in a ceremonial corral, while the stallions/males gather at a place farther away.
A horn sounds the start of the chase and the females/males are first out of their corral. Finding places to hide in the wooded area that has been marked off. After a 30-minute head start, the horn sounds again, signally that the stallions may begin the chase.
Only females/males that are willing or those who are obligated by family may take part.
A female must be single with no ties to a male.
A male must catch his intended and place his family colored scarf around their human hips to claim them.
If more than one male wants the same intended mate, they can either challenge on the spot or allow the intended mate to make the choice.
There is to be no forcing another to be a mate. If there is force, and violence, it will be dealt with swiftly by the herd leaders, and the elders!
