Brief Summary of Ophelia’s backstory to current:
Born in Quebec Canada during the 1920s, life should have been decent for her. However, from the start she was unwanted and unwelcome by her father - a reminder of the man her mother had loved and lost before wedding him. On top of that, she got her witchy heritage from his side, which further infuriated her very catholic and devout father. Suffice to say, the moment Ophelia could escape the torment and abuse she suffered for just being who she was born as, she seized upon it.
It didn’t matter she would be leaving for a new country, a place she knew no one. That was a bonus, and it was on this journey that she found herself summoning and making a deal with a demon to ensure her future, as well as to keep her youth and put off death for as long as she could. Even with this safe fail, Ophelia didn’t really find a community until she moved to Crossvale in the mid 60s. She settled there and has remained ever since, though its only been in the more modern times that she has really begun to get more involved in the community.
When she chooses to be the center of attention, it is clear she can thrive on it, but if she elects to be a wallflower she makes a striking figure to linger and watch in silence. She can be the life of the party, or content to let others revel, depending on her mood and the event/situation.
