I just have to say something that I'm really proud of, guys.
In 2011, I wrote 8,104 words in one day.
Today, I wrote 10,304. Not only did I SMASH my old record, but I am now at 41k, which means that I only have 9k left to go!!

I absolutely did the same thing. I wrote my first 500 words as false starts. It was kinda nice. Just try to get going Celestina. Write some stuff down and if it works it works, if not, you have some words in the bank for later.

Could rip off a pretty epic RP I had with Raven. Could run with a random thought that occurred to me at a Halloween party last night, at least until I get to where I have no idea what to do. Could try doing something with Alba and family, but don't know what. Sorta wanna try something with Chasu Maru, but don't know how. Could try starting over on something I did before.

I follow Neil Gaiman on Tumblr and waaay back someone asked him about this exact thing, and his response was to write whatever ideas you have. It doesn't have to be the beginning, or anything like that. Just a scene. And then you build on that, and before you know it you're piecing scenes together to make a story you've already built an in depth background on.
So I finally started a thing. I focused in on the "write to write" and "write badly" and decided to throw a through-plot to the wind and just have some alien looking at stuff until I type enough words.
