Hey folks.

So, I mentioned I ran a Continuity. Well, I'm still kinda in love with the idea. I'm gonna give y'all the Wiki-link, because it's a LOT of context to put in. You can ignore the character slots, etc., because obviously, they're all empty. Just gives you an idea of the kind of characters that would work in the setting and the types of info you'd need to come up with for characters.

Let me know what you think.

I love it! Very in depth and tonnes that could be done - I would be very much be interested in getting involved - I could help out organise it if needed. All my rp experience is short term though :/ but I am very interested in getting into a longer-term rp
Great. :) Excuse the delay, there's a lot going on and I'm trying to get this stuff sorted. If we're going to be doing a long-term RP, we really need to give it a forum of its own, I think, it allows for creating individual threads for scenes instead of it being an endless stream of RP that people can't catch up with.
Yes indeed - for a complex thing like this you need to be able to have good organisation or it gets very confusing. You could create another group on here (I quite like the forum setup and its easy - but people do have to become a rprepository member) or externally like you did last time.
Well last time it was run on an actual game (Furcadia, it's like a client you download and have little avatars and there's a text box to put your posts in). I do still have the dream (which is Furc-speak for 'world'), so it is feasible that it could be done there. It's probably the most effective way of roleplaying I've found, it's just whether people would be interested in doing it that way. I'll put up a few screenshots of what the dream looked like.

That looks good to me :) I've only dabbled with furcadia before so it would be fun to try it out for a long term rp thing if everyone is keen - but does it mean everyone has to be online at the same time?
The idea is that you roleplay with individuals who are online, rather than consistently as a group, but I've always run it with an accompanying forum so that people whose time zones don't match can get hold of one another.
That's a good combination of mediums :) if you don't mind me asking - why did it fall apart the first time? Just because if we know we might be able to figure out a way to avoid it this time.
It fell apart because of real life issues. It was run by myself and my housemate, and when we moved house, we didn't have access to the internet for two weeks. Combine that with the players being over-reliant on the movement of the main storyline and not creating their own subplots, and it just slowly died of death. When we got back to it, it wasn't there to come back to.
Makes sense :) and pretty easy to avoid too
Yep! I think otherwise it went really well. It developed a lot of potential, and I think, with the right players and involvement, it could reach that potential. We'll have to see about recruiting.
I also believe that in due time a plot once used should be revisited and adjusted to create new tension and different effects on even the creator. While the plot should be changed as well to ensure a new unique story compared to the last to allow a fluent environment and avoid past plots being fully relied on. Basicly create a new and independent version that's edited from an original is a good way to put it. Just to allow a new taste on new things.
That's the plan!

My housemate also informs me that he's in for the rebuild.
I am indeed! :D
Haha well that was a quick reply and sounds interesting... Keep me posted on this.
