The dream came sometime in leaffall. It was a strange dream in that it was shared by three cats; a rogue, a loner, an a kittypet. However, the dream was the same for all of them- they must form a clan.
A brown tabby with long legs and fierce green eyes came to Rose, telling her to redeem herself and help start a clan with two others, the other chosen ones. A black cat with blue eyes went to Torrent, telling him that living alone was not going to help him or anyone else, and to help the others start the clan. A small, white furred cat with amber eyes visited Kaen, saying that this was not his destiny, to live in the laps of twolegs forever- he needed to find his true life in a clan.
Finish what we have started. Go to the meadow in the valley of oaks; there shall be your clan. Call it Meadowclan...
***
Rose had found the valley, and apparently she was the first one there as she was waiting alone in one of the mighty oaks. This valley seemed untouched by twolegs, as there were no vile monsters or dogs to bother her. It was a nice place to make a home. Still, she'd have to get used to being around cats again. It had been a while since she had been in another feline's company.
That would soon change. She smelled one coming on the wind.

His sleek white fur and brown blew softly in the wind as he walked quietly, a since of pride and strength in him. His bright green eyes located the tree as he make his way over " I take it you one if the ones I'm meant to meet here?" his voice was deep and strong very kind at the same time.. Sitting down as the sun light cough the golden tag of his collar
Torrent padded silently among the oaks, his large ears pinned back against his head. The forest was beautiful, and the valley peaceful. However, being the cynical tom he was, he wasn't sure about the whole thing. Never had he actually obeyed his dream... Honestly, was obeying a starry cat really the best thing for him? But her words had rung true in his mind, and so there he was, searching for whoever or whatever he was supposed to help and work with to make a...clan.
As a kit, he had had an old she-cat that helped him learn to hunt and fend for himself. She told him of groups of cats called clans, each cat being held to be honorable and loyal. Even as a kitten, he thought that the stories were fairytales, especially those about "StarClan." Apparently, StarClan was gettig back at him for doubting their existance.
It wasn't long before he spotted another tom--a prissy-looking kittypet. His nose wrinkled slightly in distaste, but when he looked up into the tree, he saw another cat. A loner?...no, she smelled of rogue. However, as he approached, he said nothing in greeting, only assuming that he was meant to work with these two cats.

Rose's sharp green eyes glared down at the kittypet like a hawk's, glancing in disdain at his collar. Honestly? She was supposed to work with a kittypet? Oh, dear Starclan, this was going to be more difficult than it sounded.
"I could ask the same of you, kittypet," she replied, studying him with narrowed eyes. The lithe she-cat sat up on the branch, arched her back in a stretch, and jumped to the ground in front of him. Another tom was coming over as well- at least he didn't have a collar.
"I'm guessing you two both got the dream?" she asked brusquely, her tail swishing back and forth as she studied the two. If not she'd have to slit their throats and be done with it.

Torrent studied the kittypet first, then the rogue, his whiskers twitching slightly. At her mentioning of the dream, he sighed. It must all be true, then.
"Unfortunately, yes." His voice was rather indifferent, but it was obvious that he didn't really want to be there. He had been perfectly fine fending for himself, doing as he wished day-to-day. He never supposed he would be forced to start caring for other cats and protecting them. His ears flattened once more.
His main question was this, though: Why would StarClan choose a kittypet for this? The spoiled tom would know nothing of living outside twoleg nests, much less how to thrive in the wild. I swear to StarClan that I'm not going to protect him. If he dies, it isn't my fault, he thought a bit bitterly.

" Yes, i did have the dream" Kaen said pulling his tail around his paws " Dont think low of my friends becuse i had a home... i always wished to be free like you two" he said
At the kittypet's words, Torrent snorted and rolled his eyes.
"Of course you have, kittypet."
Honestly... The tom had probably been pampered by two-legs his entire life. Did he really think about being 'free', or was that just sweet talk to try and make himself look tough? Torrent didn't believe a word he said.

"As much as I would love to rip this kittypet in two, we have no time for pleasantries," Rose cut in dryly, sighing at the two toms. "We evidently have a clan to create, and I suppose the sooner we get to it the better. We need to figure out why Starclan asked us to do this- why they chose us." A pointed glance was shot at the kittypet, although she didn't try to aggravate him further. She could do that later. Right now they needed to get their agenda straight so they could go about their business and hopefully not die.
She, at the very least, wanted to preserve her skin. Right now she didn't care about the kittypet or the loner; not yet.

Torrent lashed his tail, but knew the she-cat was right. But how did one even go about forming a clan?
"Our first item of business is to find shelter, then." He shifted his weight on his paws. "We should take a look around, and catch some food if we come across any."
His gaze flitted between the she-cat and the kittypet, looking for their approval or rejection of his ideas. He didn't usually socialize much, and thus this was a new thing for him. He hoped that the kittypet wouldn't do anything to make him angry.

Kaen flicked his ears in agreement as he slipped a paw into his collar and pulled hard back with his neck and forwed with his paw snapping the elastic in the side
"Shelter? These oaks will probably be fine for now. As for food, where there's a meadow there's rabbits. Stay within yowling distance- we don't know what's out here so we need to stay alert. Try not to get yourselves killed." With that she stalked away, hoping the kittypet could fend for himself. The loner probably could; he seemed capable enough.
She stopped to scent the air, closing her eyes and taking in her surroundings for a moment. This would be a decent place to call home, at least for a little while. The scent of a rabbit drifted with the wind and the rogue quietly set off to find it and be useful.

Torrent watched her leave, then flicked his tail.
"I hope you like trees, kittypet," he said, before going off to find his own meal. He would leave the kittypet to defend for himself. If the other tom couldn't hunt, then he would learn, once he got hungry enough. Besides, it would be fun to see a twoleg's pet go hungry for an entire meal.
...okay, so maybe Torrent was harsh against kittypets. He was just tired of seeing those fat cats walking around on perfectly manicured lawns, sitting on fences as if they own the world, complaining about how low-grade their kibble was. They just made him sick; this kittypet would have to do quite a lot to prove that he wasn't like the others, like he said he was.

Kaen huffed and got to his paws ~i'll show them~ he thought heading away, there was a river not far away and he bound over to it. He was the few cats that actually liked water.Crouching down by the water he watched quietly. He use to catch the fish in the pond by his his old house and was never scolded for it. Seeing a fish he swiped his paw quickly and snatched it from the water. The Fish landed in the grass and with a quick bite it was dead. the Fish was not that big but it was enough for one. Picking it up he trotted back to the tree.
Rose dropped into a crouch as the scent of rabbit grew stronger, and used a moment to see where the wind was coming from. She then crept downwind of the rabbit so that it wouldn't notice her as fast, or at all, if she got lucky.
She stopped when the rabbit came into view, silently calculating how quickly it could get to its hole from there. She then tensed her muscles, unsheathed her claws, and sprang. The rabbit began to dart for its hole, but Rose was fast, fast enough to catch it before it reached safety and snap its neck with her jaws. She paused to take a look around before padding back to the camp with her catch. She, at the very least, wouldn't go hungry.

Torrent took to the trees, creeping along the branches surprisingly smoothly for such a big cat. He scented the air, and spotted a squirrel skittering in a tree, hiding its nuts in the notch in the tree, oblivious to its surroundings.
The tom slowly headed towards it, before suddenly leaping towards the squirrel. It heard the creak of the branch he jumped off of and began running. The loner caught himself on the branch and scrambled up, using his claws to keep his grip on the tree. He darted up after the rodent, and after a few moments he stretched out and gave a swift whack to the squirrel, sending the poor thing falling to the ground. The Maine Coon jumped after it and landed with a heavy thud, claws sinking into the squirrel. His weight alone killed it immediately, and he padded back to the tree they had met at, so he could check to see if the others had caught anything as well. He had no doubt the rogue could fend for herself, but he wasn't certain about the kittypet's skills.

Kaen was already eating his fish by the time Rose for back to the tree. He turn his green eyes to look at her " nice catch" he said kindly.
She flicked her tail in acknowledgement, settling herself down a little farther away from Kaen out of pure habit. By now she had grown used to having to fight to keep her kill, and if she wanted to keep it it was best to stay away from other animals in the first place. She began to eat the rabbit, keeping an eye on the two toms to make sure they wouldn't try anything stupid. Although she was a little smaller than Kaen and definitely smaller than Torrent, she was probably faster than the both of them combined. Maybe it was just the she-cat's pride, but she figured she could take them on if she had to.
Hopefully not, though. It wouldn't make much sense for a clan to be fighting amongst themselves. The whole point of a clan was unity... She'd have to get used to that.

Torrent settled near the base of a tree, quietly eating his squirrel. Like Rose, he too was used to fighting for his kill, but it seemed that they all had a silent agreement not to steal one another's food. It was obvious he was still on edge--his fur was bristling a bit--but he tried to relax and just let everyone eat in peace.
Eventually, he spoke up. "...My name is Torrent." If they were going to be living together, they might as well get to know one another, despite his distaste for the kittypet among them. "What are yours?"

" My name is Kaen" He said looking up from his fish that was now gone. Licking his teeth Kaen sat up.
"Rose," she replied, her tail tip twitched as she finished the rabbit at her paws. Once she was done she flexed her claws into the dirt, studying the two with a calculating green gaze. Kaen? What kind of name was that? Kittypets were so weird. If they were going to be a proper clan he'd have to have a new, better name.
Although, what fun was being proper?
Still though, it was tradition and she wasn't sure what Starclan would think if they had a warrior that had a dumb name like Kaen. Still, Starclan had made their decision; she hoped they were happy with the choices they made since in her eyes, the three of them weren't much.
