Torrent nodded, though he shared Rose's thoughts on Kaen's name. What he was more worried about, though, was how exactly they were supposed to go about this. Was StarClan going to bring more cats? Why create a Clan in the middle of nowhere? It seemed peaceful enough; there was nothing to protect the valley from. Where there other Clans around threatening to take the territory?

He licked his paws and cleaned his face, before sitting up and studying his two new clanmates. He wondered if StarClan would speak to them again soon... They certainly seemed to need it. For now their camp was a tree, and they had no proper leader, or any knowledge, really.

"So... What exactly are we supposed to do, now?" he asked, thick tail curling over his large paws. Hopefully the other two had more information about forming a clan than he did.

" there's a river near by so we have water.." Kaen said looking around " there's some rocks over there that could be used as a look out .. looks as if there's a cave under it we may be able to use for shelter" He said " And since i'm not a house cat anymore.. I would like to be called Oak" he added.
"I suppose we wait," Rose stated with a small shrug. "I suppose we could check out the territory until nightfall. Surely Starclan will tell us what to do then. They'll probably designate a leader at that point, since I think trying to decide amongst ourselves would end up with us killing each other."
Torrent only nodded in acknowledgment of Kaen's new name. "I think you should wait until StarClan gives you a name, I think," he suggested, before standing and stretching his legs. "Let's get going, then." He moved and rubbed himself a bit against the trunk of the tree, getting his scent on it so that he could find it easily (he was rather horrible at remembering things like specific trees). With a flick of his tail he started off into the valley to patrol their new territory, and hopefully mark and claim it for the clan.
Kaen trotted after torrent " i sapose your right i will wait" he said looking at the sky for a moment. "it will be darker quicker tonight.. time is changeing to new seasons" he said. For a former pet he seemed pretty smart of the out door like " I lived on a farm, so i understand how life outdoors is.. for the most part" he added.
Rose had seen a farm before; hopefully the kittypet wouldn't be entirely useless. Most farm cats seemed to be savvy in the ways of survival. They knew how to catch mice, at the very least.

She scented the air, unable to smell anything that could potentially cause them harm. That was good- with luck there wouldn't be too many foxes or badgers here.

"Most clans have places where they meet Starclan," she pointed out, stepping around a rabbit hole. "It probably wouldn't hurt to try to find something like that."
"StarClan said, 'Finish what we have started,' didn't they? There must be someplace around." Torrent continued padding along, always conscious of the scents around them. "I don't doubt it's a high place... somewhere other cats or animals or twolegs can't get to easily." He began scanning the area, then glanced back at Kael.

"D'you know what StarClan is, kittypet?" he asked, of course not using his name. It would take a while for Kael to earn his respect, farmcat or not.
Kaen looked at him " Starclan is in the sky. It is where the Ancestors of my mother live.. along with my mother Riversong ..She was a clan cat, but she died when i was born away from her clan i was found by the two legs, with out them i would have died" he sighed "she use to visit me in my dreams "
Torrent was... surprised.

"...your mother was a clan cat?" He watched Kael curiously, before pinning his ears back. It seemed that the kittypet knew more about clans than he did... In fact, the loner was fairly oblivious to most of clan life. Perhaps the kittypet wasn't such a kittypet after all.
"That's correct, and reason i asked you to call me Oak is its the name my mother gave me" He said. " I jumped to come becuse i want to live as my mother once did" he added " i was kinda sick of liveing on that smelly old farm"
"Why didn't you leave sooner, then?" Torrent flicked his tail and looked ahead once more. "The twolegs that work outside down keep track of you like the ones that live in nests close together." Kael had had all the time in the world to return to clan life; if his mother visited him in dreams, she could tell him where a clan was or how to continue clan life. But instead Kael had stayed on a 'farm' that he supposedly hated.
(( its Kaen not Kael ))

Kaen sighed softly " truth be told i did not feel it was the right time for me to leave" he said
So Kaen knew as much about clan life as she did. Still, she wasn't saying anything about her past experiences with clans. She didn't like them enough yet to trust them with that kind of information.

She stopped when she scented something weird on the wind, eyes narrowing at the familiar stench. "Badger. Stay alert. I can't tell where it's coming from since the wind is blowing in multiple directions, but we'll probably see and hear it before it can attack. Be on guard."
I know xD But Torrent doesn't.

Torrent nodded to both the kittypet's and Rose's words. "Then let's find the place we can meet with StarClan, as soon as we can. If the badger attacks, so be it, but let's keep moving so that we might be able to avoid that." He persnally hated badgers, with their huge claws and short tempers. He would rather not fight one in unfamiliar territory.
" theres some tall rocks on the othre side of the river maybe we can find something there. " Kaen said
