The girl happily hummed as she walked around.

Her name was Adene Karendra, daughter of Frederick Karendra and Karina Kolikos, and she was a child of the flames. Her hair tumbled to her waist, and was all different shades of oranges, reds, and yellows. Her eyes shone golden. She was dressed in a red dress with a fire pattern up the middle. Even her small tiara was in the shape of flames. Did she make the point that she was an Elementalist?

Adene was typically homeschooled, in fear of the King coming to murder her to eliminate her claim to the throne. But, it seemed he had stopped caring as soon as Dmitri was born a few months after her. Besides, her cousin would keep her safe.

Adene stood a whole four inches above Kassandra, and was skinnier in build. She wasn't built for combat. But the similarities between the two could be scene. They shared some of the same facial features, and their eyes shone the same shade of yellow. There her cousin goes, now, actually. Uh-oh. Who gave her the bell back.

RING RING RING. The happy-go-lucky Royal Guardian rang her bell. It was 9:00 AM on the dot. "Wake up, otherwise there won't be breakfast for you!" Kassandra promised as she ran down the hall before reaching her cousin.

"Did Darius escort you safely?"

"Of course. He's a real gentleman, you know."

"I'm well aware. Why don't you go socialize among the students? They'll be in the hall, soon. Dmitri is still hungover, like me, so he'll be the only one nasty."

The French Princess smiled, and agreed. She sat in the Breakfast Hall, awaiting the students to file in.
Jenny woke up, feeling a pain on her tongue. She assumed she'd bitten tongue in her sleep, as it has happened before. Though for some reason it seemed to hurt a bit more than the other times she's bitten her tongue. She noticed she left her laptop out after playing on it the night before. She packed it up and put away before stretching.
Mirage was the first to wake, and she had to usher her brother out of bed. He still hadn't accepted her as a roommate, so they had slept in the Scholars area. "Rise and shine!" she said cheerfully, already dressed and ready to go. "Aren't you excited! Come on!"

She was out the door by the time he was ready, and he begrudgingly followed.
Evelynn had woken up fairly early, but she wouldn't be the first to meet up. She went through her morning routine, making sure she looked perfect. Her hair had the thick, bouncy curls. Her make up was lightly applied to still give a natural look. Looking herself over in the mirror, she nodded in satisfaction, and quickly made her way out the door.
The young illusionist woke with a light groan and his hand swept over his face, brushing a way his dark hair. It took a moment or two of staring at the ceiling for him to rise out of his drowsiness. His thoughts were scrambled and his eyes still fought to stay closed, but he managed to keep them open. After regaining his full consciousness and thought, he sat up languidly, combing his hair back with his ungloved fingers then reached out for his bag.

Though he did nothing the day prior that caused him to sweat or anything the like he was still wishing for a bath or shower. He'd have to wait until they were in their dorms with their roommates. The boy instead took his bag and went to a restroom nearby to change, wash his face, and so forth.

NelĂs eventually came out, settling with a grey double breasted sweater with large ebony buttons and a collar that cupped the back of his neck. Was he cold? No, he was only accustomed to wearing long sleeved things or showing skin for that matter. He somewhat wished that Aidas had given the gloves back, however the boy wasn't all too concerned with his hands as he had been before. Today he didn't tie back his hair, and allowed to brush his jaw and neck.

After getting ready he left to get breakfast along with everything else though something made it's way to the top of his head. Call him crazy, but he could've sworn he heard someone shamelessly playing a violin the night prior. Perhaps one of the instructors were instrumentalists too.
"Come on, princess." Kassandra laughed as she dragged the Russian Prince out of bed. He was very clearly hungover.

"That ****ing bell of yours didn't help my headache." He grumbled as he stood up and walked to the table he was supposed to be sitting at. The combatants table was large, everybody who wasn't an instructor had arrived last night. The Arts table was of medium size, and the Scholars was smaller and in a circular shape.

Aidas walked in, yawning as he covered his mouth. His younger brother followed him and sat down at the Arts table with him. He kneeled in front of the girl called Adene, and kissed her hand. "Princess Adene, how lovely to see you. Still dating Darius, I see."

Adene giggled at the kiss and told him to stand up. "Still with Princess Amneris?"

"But of course. She was angry with me this morning for not letting her know of your arrival." Aidas said before leaving to go see his Egyptian datemate.

Darius was now seen standing close to the French Princess, with fingers in her hair. He was braiding it for her. "Darius!" She giggled, wrapping her arms around him.

It was clear that many people were already in a relationship.

As always, it was the Arts table who circulated the most rumors.

"Did you hear that Gilbert is dating Emilia Raahe?"

"As in your distant cousin, Tycho?" Adomas spoke up for once, looking at the Dane who spoke.

"Yes."

"Doubt it, she's got less emotions than Haruki has."

"Oh, and a little birdie told me she's going out with that runt, Asclepius Ambrosia."

"That's her sister, dumbass."

"Katrina Korone and Asclepius Ambrosia, interesting." Tycho hummed.

The combatants were louder than the Artists, of course. Dmitri was asleep on the table, making it slightly quieter than usual. Kassandra's eyes rolled. "He still thinks he can out drink me." She said, watching the boy sleep. Only Lux seemed wide awake. His grey eyes seemed cold and unfeeling, yet, he was soon seen leaning on the smaller red-head.

"Lux won't show it, but he's exhausted." Kassandra grinned.

The Scholars were awake. John was grumpy as usual.

"I'm surprised both of you showed up. Trey still hasn't accepted you as his roommate?" He looked towards Mirage.
Jenny wasn't paying much attention to the gossip. She wasn't one for spreading or believing rumors. She was still groggy, and was eating her food slowly.
The sun was coming through the window. She had remembered hearing a bell, but not much after that... She had fallen back asleep. It was so nice to rest her eyes. She couldn't sleep at all last night, but now that was all she wanted to do.

But then it hit her. If she had fallen back asleep, that meant she might be late.

Orange hair fanned through the air as she threw herself out of bed, dressing in some clean clothes and throwing on her shoes. "Not a good day to be late!" she said to herself, rushing out the door. Running into someone would just be her luck, but she hoped she'd make it without incident.
Jenny had obviously been in a haste when she got ready. She also didn't seem to get any new clothes and just wore the same outfit from the day before. The only thing she wasn't wearing was her bandanna, leaving her hair to stand up.
As the twins sat down at the table, they were greeted. Mirage shook her head lightly to John's question, and let out a soft sigh.

Trey started for the food, filling his plate and his cup. And after a moment, Mirage spoke again. "I hope everyone slept well," she said, offering a smile to those around her. Slowly, she's start putting food on her plate as well.
Evelynn sat down at the end of the table, and looked around to everyone. She didn't bother to say hello to anyone, or make any form of greeting for that matter.

She did notice, however, Jenny was the only one from her little group here. The brute, Caleb, and Nelis were not here yet.
Caleb had slept through the bell and the commotion the other kids had made during their morning routine. He could care less about getting out of bed so he just slept some more, if anyone bothered him they would come down with a nasty case of morning terrors. He pulled the blankets over his head and let his heavy bulk prevent anyone from removing the covers.
Jenny sped up her eating with the pain on her tongue finally subsiding. She was obviously hungry, despite how much she ate the night before. "So today's just for doing what ever? Right?"Jenny asked with her mouth full of waffle.
Unfortunately, Caleb would not be so lucky. Andrei would send Taissa to help get the male up. The healer stood beside the male, checking his pulse and his blood. "No toxins, I see. Mr. Gikas, you're healthy enough to enjoy your day off. The Arts table is waiting for you to join them." The blonde woman nodded. "Come along."
"Orientation or something," Evelynn said, giving a decent, non-sarcastic answer to Jenny. She put a piece of bread in her mouth and seemed to be lost in thought.
"Oh. Fun"Jenny said, continuing to eat her food. She would've honestly had a day to relax and get used to things. She already had a hard time going to sleep the night before, partly due to messing around on her laptop but also due to being in a completely new place. She knew she'd have a hard time getting to bed tonight as well. Sharing a room with what would most likely be a complete stranger wouldn't help either.
Andrei looked at his students, and gave each a pen. "These pens are going to help you channel your sync energy. You know it's working when the ink changes to the color of your energy." He explained. "Watch this." An ancient looking pen came out of his pocket, and he wrote normally. "This is what happens when you use your energy." His words on the page now glowed bright red.

"All of you should try to write your names on the napkins. He threw them each a pen that had their names on it. "I only use mine when I sign documents, of course, but others use it all the time."
Jenny looked at the pen that was just tossed at her. She had a quizzical look on her face and jotted down a quick doodle of lizard on the napkin. She was surprised when it faintly glowed green. She glanced at it again, though she didn't see the purpose in this pen, especially since she hardly ever used pens.
Over in the Combatant's dorm Viola was sound asleep and snoring heavily amid a 'nest' of bed sheets, with arms occasionally flailing around like limp noodles. The noise and activity of the morning only causing her to move around in her bed to the point she was half in the floor, her snores growing louder thanks to the lack of bed sheets muffling them before.

The rest of the room looked little better. It looked like a bomb had gone off during the night. Pieces of clothing and various other knickknacks seemed to be everywhere, even a pair of shorts hanging from the fan.
"Looking forward to the workout tomorrow?" Kassandra cracked her knuckles as she spoke. She was speaking to Lux, who groaned, but spoke up. "I hope Cryroch doesn't break anyone's leg this year. Your cousin transferred to Scholars because of it."

"He did. But Ascelpius never belonged in Combat, everybody knew it. Even father told him to." Kassandra hummed. "He's happy there, did you hear he's going to the medical core?"
