House Berlitz, The House of the Eagle
The so-called House of Blood was once a place where love and family flourished. What happened?
((Somehow this turned into a history of the past few decades, apologies))
A brief history:
House Berlitz hasn't always been the kindest place. Originally, they were barbarians who killed all but their own. Of course, this ended before modern times. They retained their combatant routes, but a good part of the were are also Scholars.
They became a peaceful house, and one of great prosper. They were the last of the Democratic Monarchs before Peter Cryroch's rebellion.
A small part of the family tree:
Klaus Berlitz partnered with Andromeda Ambrosia, and became the ruling Monarchs for sixty years.
Their children are: Leopold Berlitz, Konrad Berlitz, Erwin Berlitz, and Egon Berlitz.
Only Leopold and Egon would survive, seeing as Konrad and Erwin passed away from overexertion of sync energy, a curse that they inherited from their mother.
Leopold, the heir, as judged by his silver hair and red eyes, partnered with Ginka Orzel of Poland.
Their children were all Scholars. The two eldest, Olenna and Lisa, died of sync overexertion, partnerless. This left the young Sabine Berlitz to protect his throne.
It would be his cousin, Agatha Berlitz, who's parents were Egon Berlitz and Roy Ă˜kile of Sweden, to take the throne next. Sabine himself remained celibate as soon as his hair started to turn the blonde and his eyes the blue of the Holy Guard.
Agatha Berlitz took Andrei Sirko of Ukraine as her partner, and together, they ruled for more years after taking the place of their ancestors through election. Their children would be the last of the line.
They had five children.
Rorschach, Elise, Liesel, Viktor, and Gregor.
Viktor was the heir, his siblings all had blonde hair like their father.
Elise, Gregor, and Rorschach never partnered. Elise and Gregor were Holy Guardians, and Rorschach never quite matched up with anyone, his sync energy was low, and he never quite connected.
Liesel fell for Aaron Ambrosia, and they partnered together. Their child was Asclepius Ambrosia, who never got to meet his parents.
Viktor, on the other hand, was elected to replace his parents once they passed, and quickly started making enemies. Viktor was the first Scholar that was on the throne, and the combatants, particularly the Ambrosias (all but Aaron) and the Cryroches, the two larger combatant family. And so, a bloody war started as soon as Viktor dismissed them from his council.
Meanwhile, Viktor's two children, who had come of unknown partners, were sent off to their Nurturing Groups to protect them. Gilbert and Arabella Berlitz were both safe in the United States.
The European continent had most of its nations take part, as well as Egypt.
The sides went along something like this:
The Rebellion Countries:
Russia
Greece
Macedonia
Egypt
Britain (who was fighting it's own war at the same time, mind you)
Lithuania
The Remaining Countries
Germany
France
Spain
Portugal
Italy
Needless to say, this war didn't go too well for the Germans.
The last battle, The Battle of the Feast, killed the majority of House Berlitz and any of their partners.
It is said that Alexander Ambrosia came out of the German castle carrying his own brother's head as well as his wife's.
Viktor was murdered by Peter Cryroch, who slashed him across his chest and pushed him out the balcony window. Even the Holy Guardians of the family were killed. Gregor and Elise didn't fight. They went peacefully, and were hung out of the castle walls.
The eldest brother, Rorschach, managed to break down the sync energy of the Cryroch forces by sync breaking them, but he was no match for any Ambrosia and their overexertion. Alexander murdered him, too.
Once the majority of the House was hung, Peter insisted on going after the young heir, Gilbert, and his baby sister, Arabella.
However, Toryshka Magas of Lithuania, who was supposed to nurture Gilbert, convinced him against it.
It didn't help that Toryshka disappeared almost directly after this, killing a good amount of the Cryroch forces with his powers of invisibility.
John Wever, who now had bonded Gilbert into his own group, protected him. Peter couldn't kill him since Gilbert was bound to his own son, Dmitri Cryroch.
When sent to kill Arabella Berlitz, Taissa Sirko stepped in and stopped them. Arabella was a sickly child, she would never be able to rule anything, and besides, she had no heir blood.
And so, the bloody war ended. Besides Arabella and Gilbert, there are others with Berlitz blood. Asclepius was lucky enough not to have silver hair, but he does have red eyes.
Kassandra Ambrosia and her father, Alexander, have Berlitz routes, but nothing significant.
And so, the war ended, leaving the world without Germany. Eventually, the King would crown a family of German nobles who had remained loyal to him during the war, known as the Schneiders.
Just when the war was over, Frederick Karendra, the German-descended king of France, tried to rebel. He was killed by Maeko Toguchi, the Dragon Queen, on her visit to Europe. This left his partner, Karina Kolikos, and his daughter Adene Karendra, as the last Frenchmen.
((I think that's all of it)).
