"Hnnnng..." was the sound she made, as she wondered the hall in front of the dormitory rooms. She would pace in front of each door, looking up at them in hopes that they might give her some clue as to if she were suppose to be within one. She had been told that she would be sleeping in one of these rooms but...
"Orrrrrrt!" she called out loudly, hoping that the male would hear her. She had been pleased when Nelis had been made her roommate. He was always nice to her. And helpful.

The young illusionist was nearly finished unpacking his things, thankfully having drawers to himself whereas his roommate, Novo, would have her own as well. With the many students they had and would possibly be getting he was surprised the rooms were as large as they were. It was king sized and there was a definite line between which side was his and which side was Novo's. Space wasn't essential for him, however. Nelís had no trouble sharing and he was very aware that with Novo space was absolutely out of the question. It hardly mattered which side he was on it would always be shared.
The room itself was elegant. Designs traced the walls in a sort of Victorian lace and the windows were tall, allowing the sun to flood into the room. Framing them were thick burgundy curtains held aside by golden knots. All in all it was exquisite. Everyone else must've thought the same. The academy felt more like a castle.. Then again they were amongst Kings, Queens, Princes, and Princesses; an entire sovereignty all in one place. If anything, the boy felt privileged.
He was sliding a favoured book into a shelf when he heard his name ringing through the hall, and a grin breached his lips. Hastily, he dropped the books in his arms onto his plush bed and strode over to the door. He glanced down the hall to find her a good three doors down. Close enough. "Well he's not there," he jested loud enough for her to hear.

Novo's violet colored eyes (at least for now) looked down the hall to see Nelis' head poking out of the door. Her smile grew wide and she quickly pranced down to him. "Ort! Novo come to bed," she said, pushing past him and looking around the room. She seemed less impressed than another might be, but maybe that was because she was expecting it. The rest of the school was huge and fancy, so she assumed the rest would be like this as well.
She seemed more impressed with the bed. "Ohhhh~" she squealed, flinging herself onto the mattress of... Nelis' bed, bright red hair swirling around her. Never mind the fact that his things had been situated around the area to show that it was his side. Nelis had been quite right in knowing that her idea of space was different than other's.

He'd quickly moved out of her way before she could bulldoze through him, her shoulder briefly brushing against his. She never even stopped to take in the flamboyance of the room, but he knew her attention didn't yield to something like decor. Her eyes merely skimmed over the vicinity before they landed on the bed in which her entire body followed. Unfortunately, he couldn't make it in time to catch the books that tumbled to the ground upon her impact. It didn't irk him as once they were safely tucked into his shelf they'd be fine. At least he hoped they would. Maybe Novo liked reading?
"That is my bed, you know," he grinned as he knelt down and gathered the books, adjusting them in his arms before moving to the shelf, "but we can trade if you'd like."

Novo sat up and looked to Nelis, her eyes full of wonder and a sort of confusion at what he said. Then, she lifted the blankets, and looked under them. Then under his pillow. It was as if she were searching for something.
When she didn't find anything, she turned to him again. "Ort no have pretty things?" It was as if she expected him to have hidden away his precious treasures there. Perhaps that was what she did. She pushed herself off the bed and moved over the the book shelf, to watch him put things away.
"Why Ort do that?" Order was not in her nature, after all.

Nelís took two at a time and slid them in place, oblivious to Novo's confusion until he heard the rustling of sheets and he drew his attention to her who was peeking under the sheets, followed by his pillow. Was she looking for something?
"Pretty things?" he inquired, pressing his palms against the spines of the books to straighten them. "Yes, I do," his hand dove into the pocket of his vest to pull out a gold (wholly gold) pocketwatch, and he swung it in front of her. "Because I wouldn't want to lose anything," he shrugged, tucking time safely back into his pocket before he grinned. "Why not? You wouldn't happen to be messy, would you?"

Her eyes were immediately drawn to the pocketwatch and they widened with interest. She had almost stuck out her hands to try and hold it, but Nelis was already putting it back in his pocket by then. A small sort of pout came to her face.
"M-Messy?" she asked when he did, and quickly shook her head. Of course she was, but she liked Nelis and she didn't want him to hate her.
She quickly made her way back to his bed, and tried to remake it (as she had left it quite the mess after rummaging through it). It wasn't... exactly pretty when she was finished, but she looked proud of it, to say the least.

He noted the pout that possessed her lips after he'd tucked away his pocket watch which made him a tad bit regretful. Perhaps he could've let her hold it a while, but he supposed he'd save that for another time and another day. It was a precious item to him after all, however, even though Novo had an adolescent charisma, he felt he could trust her with it. She may be reckless, but she was reckless in all the right ways.
"Mhmm.." he hummed skeptically after seeing how quickly she shook her head. His eyes followed her as she moved to his bed, haphazardly throwing his sheets around in order to fix it. Laughter bubbled up in his throat in seeing the product of her work. "It's terrific, Novo. Thank you," he chuckled and rose to his feet, a sigh whistling through his nose. His eyes briefly scanned over the room, "Looks like I'm done here.. Would you like to go look at the theatre? I heard it was the globe kind."

Novo stood proud by her bed-making work, hands on her hips as she held her head high. She had only seen it done once or twice, but she had caught on quick how to do it... well, for the most part.
Interest piqued in her when Nelis mentioned the theatre. She opened her mouth, but quickly closed it, and seemed to be thinking really hard. After a few more moments, she decided to give it a try. "The-ter?" she said, both unsure if she had pronounced it right, or what it was he was talking about. There were a few places the changeling hadn't been yet.
It seemed with Nelis, that she wanted to try really hard to be intelligent and try to say things properly, when she didn't know about them until then.

"Yes, theatre," he confirmed, starting towards their door. With her little attempt he wondered if she had a desire to learn. He'd certainly be glad if she were to endorse herself in a study, however, knowledge had the tendency to make people cowards. Nothing surprises them anymore, and to be spontaneous wasn't really favoured. What joy would there be without people like Novo to keep a smile on someone's face and keeping them ever anticipating. All in all, he was afraid that Novo would grow to be ordinary.
"Maybe we'll be the first ones there," he pushed open the door and with the slight movement of his head, gestured her to come along.

To the Theatre!
