Forums » Dormitories » Roommates: Erasai and Jenny

There wasn't much to unpack. She had a bag of clothing, and a box with very few belongings. To be honest, she was fine with that. The less she had to bring from her old life, the better off she felt. The room was lovely though. Designs etched into the walls that reminded her of a sort of Victorian feel. The windows stretched from the floor to the ceiling, allowing the sun to flood into the room. Draping around them were thick burgundy curtains held aside by golden knots.

Erasai had moved the the dresser and was putting away her things. She felt a bit odd, being in such a fancy looking room. It was definitely more than she was used to in the past.
Soon the door opened and Jenny came in, dragging several luggage bags. "Oh... uh... hi. Sorry if I interrupted anything."Jenny said when she noticed Erasai. With a bit of effort Jenny was able to get her bags through the door into the dorm. "Uh.... sorry if these take a bit of space...." Jenny said.

Oop: Are they gonna have a bunk bed?
Almost jumping at Jenny's entrance, Erasai turned and looked at her. "Oh!" she said, starting to help the girl, but stopping herself as Jenny seemed to be able to handle it herself. "I don't think that's a problem," she'd say, smiling. The room was quite spacious, their beds being bunked on one side of the room with a small love seat on the other side with their own dressers .

"Do you need help?" she'd ask, finding that with what little she had to her name, she was basically finished, while Jenny seemed to have quite a bit.
"I'll be fine. Uh.... Are you okay if I have the top bunk?"Jenny asked. "I mean, I think it might help me keep my stuff from getting left lying around on the floor..."Jenny added.
Erasai looked at the girl in a sort of wonderment. Then, she laughed. It was a light laugh, and not directed at the girl in general, but the situation all together. "Sure, you can," she'd say. "Sorry, I've just never... had to opportunity to live like this. I'd never thought I would discussing who gets the top bunk with someone."
Jenny nodded, and swung one her bags up onto her bed. She soon climbed up to it and began unpacking the bag. In the bag were a surprisingly large assortment of pillows and plush toys, which Jenny haphazardly tossed out onto her bed.
Erasai watched her as the girl began to unpack. "Thanks for rooming with me," she'd say a little quietly. "I know you a little at least, so I'd definitely be most comfortable with you."

She noticed all of the plushies on the bed, and she looked at them with interest. "You have so many," she would add, not as a bad thing, but a curious thing.
"Yeah.... I'm a weird sleeper. I grab onto whatever's nearest to me in my sleep and snuggle with it so figure it'd be a good idea to have a bunch of soft thigns so I don't wind up hugging my arm or leg or something."Jenny said, ny now having unpacked
She couldn't help but wonder what would cause that, but she wasn't rude enough to pry. Nodding her head, she said, "I think they are adorable. I wish I had been able to have a collection like that." She laughed a bit.
"Didn't you have any from where you used to live before coming here?"Jenny asked.
"Ah, no..." Erasai said, giving a small laugh, but within that laugh it also held a bit of contempt. "We weren't allowed to. It was considered coddling if we were given things like that."

She cleared her throat a bit. "S-So, how is your brother?" It may have seemed apparent she was trying to change the subject.
"Huh... that's weird...."Jenny said. "Jared's doing okay. I mean, he's a bit shy and everything, but I think most of us are a bit shy here honestly."Jenny said, hopping off her bed, satisfied with the placement of everything.
"Yeah... that's true," she'd say, laughing at the thought. It was very true. "Oh! Who were you going with to the Fall Ball? I mean... Erm. Sorry I'm not trying to be nosy. I'm just terrible at small talk."
"Eh.... I honestly think I'm not gonna go to it."Jenny said as she began unpacking the rest of her bags. "I'd rather learn to use my powers and stuff."Jenny said.
"Oh," Erasai would say quietly. She hoped she wasn't being annoying to the girl. That was all she needed, was to annoy her roommate on the first day. "Uh, I was planning on going to the Dining Hall to see if there was anything to snack on. Did you want anything?"
"Think I might just go with you. "I think I got everything set up here."Jenny said.
Erasai gave a smile, pleased that Jenny would be joining her. "Great! I'm still getting used to the schedule of things here, so I hope we aren't going on a wild goose chase because nothing is set out." She gave a small laugh, and made her way toward the door, vibrant hair fanning behind her as she moved.
Jenny followed. After a few minutes they arrived at the dining hall. "So, what do you think you're gonna get?"Jenny asked.
"Well..." Erasai said, thoughtfully, raising her finger up to her chin. "I'm probably suppose to eat healthy things, but... I'm starving, and I have a pretty big sweet tooth when it comes to baked things!" She laughed a bit, and looked to Jenny.

"What about you? Looks like that have a variety of things set out, thank goodness."
Jenny shrugged. "I dunno."Jenny replied. "I'll just grab what ever I guess. Dunno why but I've been wanting a lot of meat lately, so I might grab like a hamburger or something."Jenny said.
