The World Inside The Bag

Hundreds of years ago,in a parallel dimension, somewhat similar to our own, there was a great Mage who prided himself on collecting magical items, and other bits of interest.

His greatest piece, his most valuable possession, and most stunning display of power, was to trap an entire world within a bag of holding, citizens and all.

Over the decades the people of Bagverse have grown accustomed to their lifestyle, the stories of old being treated as religious lore rather then truth. The people of this world are slit into two, often opposing factions. The Deniers are the majority population, believing that the world is as it should be, and that the idea of their being housed in a bag is preposterous, or symbolic.

The remaining citizens belong to the Church of the Satchelist; a group of the religiously devout. They worship the bag that holds them, and the great overseeing face which has been rumored to peer in over them rarely. The practitioners of Satchelism have made astounding scientific advancements in the name of finding a way out of the bag, not because they believe they don't belong there, but because they believe the dimension outside of the bag to be the world of the Gods, and wish to explore it.

Due to these advancements, the Church was able to create a sort of dimension cannon, two small golden watches what have several dials. When set correctly it tears a hole in time and space, and throws the holder, and anyone touching them violently through it. It is not controllable unfortunately, and the people using them are so unfamiliar with the technology, that the full potential of the watch is still unrealized.

Due to it's unreliability there is no telling where the holder will end up, or how they plan to get home. The one known holder, Tenasia, the first person in Bagverse to be trusted with this mission, doesn't seem to care.

The watches themselves have limited power. They can handle two consecutive jumps before they need a recharging period of 48 hours. They are Calibrated to meet on in the same dimension, if they happen to both be in use at exactly the same time.
