  • Elite And City Guard

    THE ELITE GUARD
Far different from the castle guard, they are a separate sect reserved completely and utterly for the protection of the Royal family. They are considerably more strict and harsh than the City Guard, being that they deal directly with the protection of high valued individuals, such as kings, nobles, the Arch Mage, and others.

    Ranks include:

Commander: A single man who is in charge of the lower sects in a certain city. He usually is also directly present with the king at all times, and is closest to the man.

Blademaster: The second in command, who lords over the everything below him. Reporting directly to the commander, he is usually the one who decides any punishments for those who have faulted in the Elite Guard.

Lieutenants: The trainers of the recruits, and those who also work as the commissioned officers of the military. They report directly to the Blademaster, and command up to four separate units.

Sergeant: The lowest of officers, though the most common for the other men to see. They work directly with the Guardsmen, and hold command over a group of six to eight guardsmen.

Guardsmen: The common guard that can be seen guarding the palace and the gates, as well as patrolling the halls at all hours of the night. They are also deployed during times of extreme civil unrest, such as rioting or coups.

    THE CITY GUARD

The City guard is the most common seen around the streets, and are considered the normal police force that is employed by the king. They directly take care of misconduct in the kingdom, and unlike the Elite Guard, who are merely in employment to the king, and handle only those who offend against him, they handle everyone else.

The Ranking system is the very same

Commander: The head of the guard and the main person who is in charge of things that happen around the city. He also reports directly to the king on matters concerning the general public.

Blademaster: The second in command, working quite similar to the Blademaster of the Elite

Lieutenants: The highest Commissioned officers, working similar to the Elite's Lieutenants

Sergeants: They directly deal with the guardsmen, and usually command a squad of 10. They are in charge of relaying orders and taking care of small problems that involve city folk, such as theft, etc.

Guardsmen: They patrol the city, and are the most commonly seen at posts around the streets, and patrolling at night. They are the ones who directly deal with the guardsmen, along with the Sergeants.

  • Fighters Guild

The Fighter's guild was created to primarily teach farmers and civilians how to fight, and once hosted vast gladiator rings and fights that entertained the cities during the time of the Dark Hopes. (Similar to the Dark Ages/Great Depression) However, soon the armies within the kingdoms had begun to use them as ways to train civilians and farmers how to fight and defend their lands in the event of a War, and are more commonly known as The Peoples' Army.

However, they are also kept on a tight and harboring leash by the kings that have a guild within their kingdom, for obvious and natural reasons.

    Ranks:

Guild Master: The head of the guild and the person who deals directly with the royal family, as well as takes care of various other deeds, such as collecting and organizing contracts, keeping track of members, and making sure that the guild survives within the parameters that they are allowed.

Champion: The second in command and the champion fighter, voted to be the best within the guild. He organizes the gladiator fights, and reports them directly to the Guild Master.

Trainer: They are the teachers that are given pardon to teach the apprentices and the gladiators on different styles of fighting, blunt, blade, block, ranged, etc.

Gladiator: Known to have passed and been noted worthy and trained well enough to begin fighting in the ring with other gladiators.

Apprentice: The beginners and the associates of the guild. They are only allowed to fight other apprentices, and are constantly treated harsher than the others (much like a military boot camp.) They must earn the respect of the guild.
