Applying your character for an In-Character position in Rayneth is easy. All you have to do is contact a member of the staff (Naeris Kol, Ansel Blue) and tell them what character you want to apply with, and what position you want to apply them for.
Open positions:
There is a number of suggested official positions and/or jobs a character may take in the dream. If you have an idea other than the ones listed, feel free to contact the Rah about it!
Following is a list of Positions of Ownership.
Innkeeper
Owner and manager of the local Inn and tavern.
Head Healer
Manages the Infirmary. Is usually the best or most experienced physician around and may hire a number of assistant physicians, midwifes and nurses.
General Store Owner
The owner of the General store sells a wide variety of goods, including clothes and fabric.
This is a list of other jobs or occupations a character may take in the dream. These do not involve management or actually owning the building they work on (if they work in a building at all).
Inn/Tavern Employee/
Working for the Innkeeper, they keep the building clean, cook, serve meals, keep the patrons happy, etc.
Healers/Nurses
Working under the Head Healer, the nurses and healers that staff the Infirmary do their best to cure whatever ails their patients.
Apothecary's Assistant
As the name implies, the Apothecary's assistant assists the Apothecary. They may be needed to run errands, help around the shop or even cover for their employer if they cannot work for whatever reason.
Butcher's Assistant
Whether an assistant or just an apprentice, they work for the local butcher.
General Store Employee
The General Store's workers assist their employers with whatever is necessary.
Hunter
Hunters spend most of their time at their Hall, or out in the forest. They hunt and skin animals, and may sometimes gather to hunt down a beast that is deemed dangerous.
Vineyard Servant
These are the servants that work in the vineyard, under the orders of its owner.
Spellrender
These elite warrior-mages are the city's defense against magicians, and obey the orders of their Commander.
Cloudbreaker
A few peryton-riding knights of fame and renown, they are the city's aerial defense, and are led by their Commander.
Guard
The regular guard resides in the Barracks, but may be stationed anywhere in town. They answer to the general directly.
Clergy
Monks, priests and other clergymen usually reside in the local temple. Some meditate, some preach, some study, but all of them hold the High Priestess and the Grand Inquisitor in the highest of regards.
Entertainer
Usually freelancers or employed by the government to perform in the court, entertainers may be jesters, bards, dancers, or many things more.
Tower Alchemist
Alchemists work in the Alchemy floor of the Overseer's Tower, either researching or producing concoctions to be sold. They are under the orders of the Grandmaster Alchemist and the Overseer of Magic.
Tower Mage
Much like the Alchemists, the magicians, wizards, warlocks and sorcerers directly employed by the Tower spend most of their time either studying or doing errands and missions for their leaders, the Overseer of Magic.
Stablehand
Stablehands take care of mounts while they are not being ridden.
Knight
Whether a Templar, a Paladin, from an order or an errant, the knight is a respected warrior.
Squire
Squires are both the servants and the students of certain knights, learning from their mentors.
