The city is on their toes again! It has everything to do with recent events, but particularly due to things that have come to light today.
The night before, in the temple, several worshipers took shelter from the night, praying to the Titans. Among them, a mercenary (Moskowitz), a blindfolded creep (Morgue), and a cloaked old man (Mengalla). Among the temple servants was the priest-in-training (Quincy Bird). It was observed by the priest-to-be that the old man, apparently blind, somehow took much interest in the artifact emblem of the Ovkan Empire upon the altar. Nothing of note occurred during the night.
Come morning, however, the priest-in-training noticed that the oggled emblem was missing. She brought it to the Grand Inquisitor's attention (Mauricio) and described the man to him. He left after much thought- why would something of little value be stolen? The Spellrender Commander (Aloran Nor'veilara) was approached in his chambers, drilled with the appearance of the man, and then the Inquisitor left, certain that the man who had taken the emblem was the same that had tortured the Commander.
Meanwhile, at the temple, the priest-to-be left behind encountered the old not-blind man again, whom saw fit to return the emblem. She attempted to hold him there with the help of temple servants, but he broke free- leaving the priest with the emblem. However, he had cursed it, and the unfortunate female was rendered with a sudden hemorrhagic fever, and blood poured from the orifices in her head. The emblem was put aside, and the curse ceased to affect the priest-in-training, and she attempted to cleanse it of the curse. The temple was closed for the time.
The Grand Inquisitor, not knowing of the temple servants' plight, next went to the General (Arak Mazanai) with his information and the theory. The General took down the information immediately, and once the Inquisitor left, the General took action, alerting the guards and the town crier to the very wanted criminal.
Upon returning to the temple, the Inquisitor was informed of the situation and he himself cleansed the emblem. The priest was tasked with reporting the incident to the General.

Important:
- Mauricio's hasty travels between the temple to the mage tower, and the mage tower to the barracks, then back to the temple, could have been witnessed by anyone upon the streets. If your character would have seen him, you may have them say so!
- The town crier describes the man the guards are looking for: old, with long gray hair and a long gray mustache, a patch over one eye and apparently blind in the other. He is declared dangerous and it is asked that guards be called if he is seen, or any have information on him.
- The guards do not know Mengalla's name, so it will not be a fact used. What they do know is his appearance, and that he hides somewhere within the city walls.
