It's true! It was long thought that Naeris Kol, the former princess of the Kingdom of Rayneth was slaughtered by the Ovkan Empire when it seized her kingdom- but no! She's here, and alive, and it started with this.

The Empire awards the city of Rayneth with a familiar Head Priestess.. the following is her official arrival into the temple, to begin her duty...

Mauricio - The temple was silent, a few were praying but yet others were simply seeking shelter from the rain. It was allowed as long as they did not disturb the sanctity of the temple, and if they didn't mind the possibility of the inquisitor staring at them. Mauricio's hat and cape were wet from the rain, it'd been a while since he had come inside but the robes of the water titan always took a long time to dry, it would be a dishonor to the titan if the ermine complained about it of course.

Naeris Kol stepped in from the rain, lowering the hood of her cloak. Ah... home. It felt so nice. The faint smell of blood didn't phase the ex-princess at all. After what she'd been through, well... she got used to it. Her gaze moved around the temple, until she spotted the wet ermine. That must be him, the one she was told of. They had yet to formally meet, and that was why she was here. She approached him, bowing her head slightly. "Hello, Inquisitor." She smiled slightly at him. "I'm sure that my coming here has already been discussed with you. It is a pleasure to formally meet you, however. I'm Naeris Kol."

Mauricio - If looks could kill, Naeris would probably have exploded when Mauricio recognized her, still despite that when he spoke he sounded relatively polite, if possibly colder than usual. "It has, Head Priestess." said the inquisitor blandly. "Your quarters are through that door." He pointed to a door leading into the temple. "Was there any other question, head priestess?" It did not appear Mauricio was very inclined to have a long conversation with the half-drow, but he recognized her new position, if reluctantly.

Naeris Kol wasn't phased at all by Mauricio's gaze and cold words. Spending a few months as a half-drow in a full-drow land helped her to handle these kind of personalities better. "Thank you, Inquisitor." She kept that light smile settled upon her lips. Not foolish, or air-headed, but calm and polite. "Indeed, I do have a few questions. I would like you to explain to me how things are run in the temple now. From my understanding, things have changed quite a bit. I was only given a summary when I arrived." She looked around. "However, the faith is strong, Inquisitor. I can feel it. You have done well bringing the people to faith."

Mauricio's demeanor remained much the same, business-like and curt with not a touch of warmth for his new priestess. "They have changed. Those who spread false faith and worship evil are now punished, as you may have heard. As head-priestess you will relieve me of the duty of making sermons, you shall hold sermons from now on and you will be the one to spread our just faith and peacefully convert the people who have not yet found the path of the titans, but are not malicious or spread their lies." He paused for a moment. "We have a templar, but only one, there are guards at all times within the temple and if someone threatens our peace and sanctity they shall be punished."

Naeris Kol gave a slight nod of her head when he finished speaking. "Thank you. I look forward to being able to bring the people to see the truth." Her people. Even if she was not princess, she still considered them her responsibility. It was why she'd taken the position. So that she could help. "Do you often have someone threatening the peace, Inquisitor?" She looked around. It was all quite quiet right now, everything calm and peaceful. Would anyone really be foolish enough to disrupt that? She worried. People could be strong-headed. She only hoped that her people were smarter than to cause trouble. Trouble that could hurt everyone.

Mauricio - "It has happened three times since I settled here, but I can assure you that none do it cheaply." answered Mauricio. He did not warm up to Naeris at all, despite her friendly attitude. "Of course, I will expect that you report any blasphemous behavior you might encounter to me, if you cannot amend it yourself." This was the first time his expression changed, from a cold stare into an inquisitive one.

Naeris Kol listened. Only three times, that's good at least. Hopefully just initial outbursts against an inquisition. When his expression changed with the next words he spoke, she nodded. "Of course. Hopefully, I will be able to amend it on my own, but I will most certainly come to you if I cannot resolve the situation myself. Is there anything else I should know, Inquisitor?"

Mauricio opened his mouth to say something, but seemed to change his mind halfway, which didn't happen very often. Instead his eyes narrowed and he said. "Yes, in fact. Before your return another was being conditioned and trained to become head priestess. She has now left on her trials but when she returns I expect that she shall be no less than your direct assistant." He straightened up. "That is all."

Naeris Kol lifted a brow slightly when he changed his mind. Well that was interesting. He didn't seem the kind to change his mind mid-speaking. She listened as he went on with what certainly couldn't be his initial thought. "I see. Of course, it will be good to have an assistant, I'm sure she will help me settle into things here, as well." When he dismissed her, she gave a slight bow of the head again. "It was nice to meet you, Inquisitor." She then went to where he had indicated, where her quarters were. Well, this was bound to be an interesting time.

Mauricio - Not very long after Naeris went to her quarters, so did Mauricio. There was a lot to think about now, despite him finally being able to focus on his real position, he felt as if his troubles had been doubled.
