For those of you who missed the Ball, it was a fun night and a good chance to meet up with old friends and dive back IC. For some of us, it has been YEARS since we have played together IC so I for one, absolutely loved it.
The event was so popular and got so many people IC and talking about coming back to MT, that it has been suggested that the Tavern holds regular events, get togethers.. celebrations.. slideshows... you name it.
The Mystic Magic party was just an example of what we can achieve if we put our minds to it. Although we had been planning it for months, the date itself was finalised very quickly, and unfortunately we didnt have enough time to plan things properly and actually develop the idea. So.. it was just a general get together.. a party to celebrate everyone coming home. Imagine what we can do if we have more time, effort and ability to really plan something and make it epic!
If there is enough notice we can make invitations and send them out via email to all our registered members and also advertise on the FB page and the domain www.themystictavern.com
No one person is the party planner for the Tavern, so here's the place to throw down your ideas about events you want to see(either chat or forum)
Some ideas I have heard already:
Celebrations:
Birthday celebration
Wedding
Festivals etc
As for Events:
I've had this idea for a while now.. but I was thinking last night what huge event we could plan that would get heaps of players in the tavern, all engaged and interacting with each other. At the Ball, alot of people posted an intro and milled around, but didnt have real interactions with other Characters .. because.. they didnt have to. My idea is.. they HAVE to.
Carnival of Horrors ( Im currently playing a forum version of this but I think it could be converted to a chat format. It would be good to have a GM, but it can work without one. )
(I can flesh this out later if anyone is interested.. but the idea is that a travelling carnival arrives and sets up beside the Mystic Tavern. Players are either placed randomly in groups of four to five (depending on player preference) and then given a location.. either Hall of Mirrors, Haunted House, Ghost Train, Tunnel of Love.. etc. The game then is completely different depending on whether a GM is at the helm or the players themselves set up the player following them at the end of each post) Like I said.. I can flesh this out more if anyone is keen.
So there you go.. I offered my ideas..
Now its your turn.
