A telling sign of a tavern stuck hard times is a short, basic menu that remains unchanged for ages. Red's is no different and though access to goods much akin to a port it's an everyday struggle to afford finer items.

The Cratetop Surprise
Named so aptly for the often random contents served atop the lid of a crate. It ranges from an assortment of whatever meats are on paw (kiwi or drake), cheeses, "fresh" vegetables or fruit.

The Leftovers
A cheap option created from you guessed it: last night's leftovers. Another dubious item that can be a random collection of what meats are on paw (kiwi or drake), cheeses, "fresh" vegetables or fruit.

Stew
At the beginning of the day some meat, either kiwi or drake, is thrown into a pot with the vegetables on paw. Some days it's delicious! By the time night rolls around though... best avoid it.
Can also be made fresh with just vegetables if the cook is asked nicely.

HISTORY
The history of Red's Tavern is intertwined with the Landing and the island itself.
It was founded some time ago by an only semi-successful pirate captain by the name of Pitchpelt. At the time, with only minor renown in the southern seas for smuggling rather than pillaging, the ol' seadog wished to settle his operations. Fortune struck on the coast of Harfang on the golden beaches of the Sunshore. What amounted then to an abandoned shack was turned into the makings of a tavern in the span of a few months by the crew and thus started the beginning of the end.
As a slight to the Haalas, the noble "settlers" of the island, Pitchpelt named the slice of land Pyrite Landing and set up shop as a haven of sorts for weary (read: pirate) travelers. The tavern grew and travelers turned to locals as they settled into the area.
Eventually it came time for the ol' seadog to kick the bucket and the ship and tavern were begrudgingly passed to his first mate, Redmayne.
Unable to stand the name The Queen's Left Tit the rather unimaginative lion named it Red's Tavern and began an era of financial ruin promptly blamed on the lack of lucky faefurres on the island.
