Currently the Constabulary is engaged in two investigations.
Investigation A)
On the 13th of June 1178 according to the blacksmith who found her, a local herbivore and worker for the Tally House was found dead on the docks, her body still warm. Crimson had been bled from her throat in a vicious gash, the poor femme no doubt bleeding to death over a few painful minutes. Only the body was found, with signs that she was caught off guard and it was quick.
Investigation B)
On the 24th of June 1178, K'Othelia Ti'Haala held a banquet celebration for the community. Not many furres had shown up, until the crack of a pawgunne sounded on the beaches and two dozen pirates stormed the manor district. Taking the dinner guest and hostess hostage. Reports state of a golden coloured horse, a short auburn Pika, a white canine, and a large bull were the ring leaders.
No pillow case, mattress, drawer, or sack was left unsullied, all were torn open or tipped bottom up to search for treasures and coin alike. Stolen goods include priceless heirlooms, musical instruments and even the dishes used for eating. Three House Haala guards were murdered, and five more injured. One of the dinner guest, a common jaguar was shot in the chest but a healer was able to save him.
As quick as they came, the pirates left back into the dark ocean, escaping with their ill gotten gains. The Constables are working overtime interviewing the townsfolk and trying to find any evidence that can be a clue to finding out where these pirates went.
