Seradhe cried out, a long, drawn out yell that was equal parts exhaustion and raw anger. The entirety of his form trembled, every muscle and cord like piano wire. The effort was monumental to be sure. But when the crate finally slid the final few feet into place, it was all worth it. After that, the hardest part was tying the lashings to the Cargo hold walls while he shook from adrenaline.
Stepping back, the tiger looked about himself and grinned brightly. Every, single, thing was back in its proper place. The workload was enormous; taking most of two weeks of labor from dawn to dusk. And aside from a brief few days as Dakota restocked and organized her med bay as she liked it, the tiger had done it all himself. Outside, he could still hear the ship repairing itself; aided by whatever magicks Einlander had brought to it. But the things inside the ship....
His footsteps echoed rather heavily as he made his way up the stairs. deck by deck. He paused in each room, giving it a final once-over before moving on. The storerooms needed to be refilled with food, and the tiger had plans to get some fresh soil to top off the greenhouse, but it all looked like it had never crashed. (of course the entirety of the closed areas smelled like a tiger had been sweating in them, but that was nothing a few hours of open windows and the sea air wouldn't cure.)
With a final, rather slow heave, Sera pulled himself aboard the top deck and closed the hatch behind him. That grin refused to go away. There were few things in this world that amounted to the feeling of seeing a project come to completion. Building a house, repairing a cart... rebuilding the ship he had chosen to spend his life on.
Anyone walking the docks that midday, and most assuredly any sensitive ears further into town, would hear a long, breathy cry. The absolute cheer in his tone was unmistakable as he emptied his lungs against the open wind.
