Explanation of Squads
Squads in BranchWood Academy are a tight knit way to say that even within this group you can have RP's that are unique to yourself. These squads will normally be 1x1x1 with the individuals within your squad. Also, Squad Members share a large three person dorm room. A dorm room for RPing may be created, here.
Note: For those who enter with two characters under the same account, you will be restricted from entering those two characters in one squad. This is to make sure that a squad isn't directly biases with the same player. While, I know that OOC and IC are two different things, I still feel as if it would be unfair to the third person in the squad.
This part of BranchWood Academy comes second under the storyline. The squads of BranchWood Academy are your place to create a bond with two fellow school mates which leads to character development. Normally these individuals will have to work together on a daily basis and quite often you can end up within the same classes.
Squads tend to stick together and look out for each other in the world of BranchWood Academy. This is extremely important for things like missions and possible events that may show up in the future. A lot of the time a squad may be closer to each other then other individuals due to time spent within the dormitories. This leaves a wider variety of character interaction when people from other squads work together.
Squads will be ranked based upon the ranking of each individual character within your squad. This ranking will show you the types of missions that you and your squad will most likely be suited for. These missions will open a large possibility for your character and give them time to practice their abilities in noncontrolled environments. These circumstances can often times lead to possible encounters that will put your character and your squad at risk. Missions are used to build character and allow yourself to grow stronger instead of just taking classes here within BranchWood Academy. -
Squad Construction - Forums
In order for you to get a squad together you must first create a post within the Squad Construction section of the forums. These forums will be often used by members looking for a squad and willing to create one.
In order to get a good idea of which squads are currently open for new individuals look to the left of the topic. If you manage to see this icon. ---><--- Then chances are this squad could still be looking for a member or two. In order to reduce clutter within the forums if you see a topic with this icon . Please try to join this squad unless you entirely feel compelled to create your own. Once in awhile there could be a chance that I'm too busy and forget to remove the icon. Often times though, I will also have players put closed within the topic if they are no longer open. Though this icon is normally a good reference. If you manage to create a forum and I don't pin it please send me a Private Message in order to ensure that I do. -
Explanation of Missions
Due to the unique aspect of BranchWood Academy using a squad system with individuals. These Squads will now become ranked based on the Majority of your scores on the Entrance Exam.
Squads will get a rank that will be accompanied with them at all times and it will be used to determine the "Strength" of the squad. This "Strength" will be a staple to your squad name which could be false or true.
Squads must work together in order to obtain higher scores that will raise their overall rank that is accompanied with the Squad.
Squads are not limited by their rank to take the missions listed below, Instead these missions will be ranked from Failure Missions, the easiest of difficulty all the way to Unachieved Academic Level. These Unachieved Academic Level missions are the hardest of all missions and those left unfinished.
By taking and completing these missions you may find yourself to rise among the Squad rankings in BranchWood Academy. The top ranked Squads of BranchWood Academy have chances to be taken into unique events and other opportunities that lead to higher character Development.
Missions will become more complicated and have higher chances of failure as Ranks go up. These difficulty rankings also begin to suggest the amount of coordination your group may require to take on these tasks. The chances of Mistakes are high and you will not be given any mercy. The chances of Characters being drastically injured or worse is a possibility.
Some of these missions can contain secret items or other things that you may find which can give your character a unique twist. This won't always be the possibility though. It will all depend on the time and place of these missions.
Missions must be requested through a Group PM Including myself. After this has been done I will personally create your sign up for your mission which will give you more details in the forums.
After this has been done and you have managed to get your information on your mission. The actual mission will take place within the Squad Mission forum. This will mean that your characters will only have access to this forum over that period of time until the mission is finished.
