In addition to utilizing a slight population of livestock animals, Arron has devised and implemented a workaround - one which he often reserves for less hospitable areas :
A curiosity to behold and a delicacy to eat, the yeduahยน stem from the earth, quickly grow like fruit on compact, vibrating, vein-filled vines, and varieties generally resemble anything from geese, to ambiguous livestock, to the rare human. These appearance of these 'fruits' range from buds, gourds and blossoms to full grown adults, and they appear to have flesh, blood and bones like any regular animal. With the exception of the more humanoid varieties, most act pleasant, quiet and agreeably dull.
The jury is still out on whether the lambs are strangely stationary animals or exceptionally unusual plants. If not both.
When eaten, the meat is tender, rich and slightly sweet. The plant, by contrast, is tasteless and dry, and always left untouched by hungry herbivores - save for other, neighboring lambs. The growth of wool and hair is uncommon and resembles more of a thick vegetable silk than true wool.
Arron harvests seeds from these creatures when preparing the meat, and isn't keen on sharing his methods of collection. He frequently travels with small and unobtrusive seed packets, which fetch a hefty sum if and when he's willing to part with them.

Enterprising and restless, Arron occasionally travels the routes that Darkness over Dawn utilizes between the mainland and Etla Isle. When Arron is thus absent, his "son," Ze'evi, acts in his stead, if he wishes to leave the shop open at all.
But gigantic, mute, mostly-docile rock monsters might not ease everyone's (rather understandable) nerves, especially where food is concerned.
Currently, he is seeking both an assistant for when he is absent, and an apprentice for when he is present.
