Yveriidia

Those unfortunate souls harvested from Yveridia over the past few months have, to put it simply, finally reappeared. The depths of the forest host a near-literal graveyard consisting of slain werewolves, vampires, and even a handful of fiendish creatures; all are without blood, yet for some reason their corpses decay at a far slower rate than what they should. Perhaps strangest of all might be the two dead dragons laying at the heart of the proverbial matter, their fates having been very much the same as the lesser creatures put to rest there.

Most appear to have put up no real struggle at all in meeting their demise; teeth met with neck, leading to death by rapid exsanguination. A handful of others show signs of having been pretty much torn apart by some kind of large, physically powerful beastie that goes bump in the night; they were still bitten, but only after having been horribly mauled.

Even stranger still? The entire area is protected by an immensely powerful barrier, one designed to repel only members of the living; the dead may freely pass through it in either direction. To come against it would be the equivalent of driving oneself against a brink wall. Moreover, the repulsion function is reactionary; force applied will always be decupled and returned to the source.
