If you would like to register as a specialist within the guild, let either myself or Ulria know and we'll add it next to your name on the list of guild members. This will make it easier for other players to hire just the right sellsword for the job. However, taking a specialization does not disqualify you from taking certain types of contracts. If your character is a bit of a jack of all trades, go for whatever you want. Brairy Specialist types are as follows:
- Arcanist - Those well-versed in the ways of magic. Experts regarding a variety of supernatural conundrums and capable of such acts as taking down magical barriers, performing transmutations, casting illusions, opening portals, or simply acting as fiery backup for other specialists.
- Beast Slayer - Often hunters or rangers, adequetly trained with both ranged and melee weaponry, and master trackers, as well as knowing how to pry information from unwilling peasants and lords alike. They have more experience fighting monsters rather than men.
- Bounty Hunter - Similar to Beast Slayers, but with certain distinctions. Bounty Hunters typically hunt their fellow man, or furre, instead of monsters. They generally spend more time gathering information than Beast slayers, and therefore must have stronger socialization or indimidation skills. Bounty Hunter contracts often pay better as well, since it can be much more difficult to locate and kill a man or woman on the run than to rid a cellar of dire rats.
- Fighter - Highly experienced, well-rounded warriors. The term Fighter usually brings images of an armor clad knight or an axe-wielding barbarian to mind, but at The Briary, Fighters come in all shapes and sizes and use melee, ranged, and magical attacks to their liking. Fighters will take any job, though they are most often sought for contracts requiring an escort or guard. They are also the first to be sought when nobles and commanders need to beef up their army or militia.
- Infiltrator - One of the more notorious specialists at The Briary. Infilitrators come from all walks of life and are as comfortable navigating and mingling within sprawling slums as they are in mansions and palaces. They normally take contracts that require espionage, stealth, thievery, and even assassination. In an effort to avoid unwanted attention from the Wolves, assassinations are instead listed as 'removals'. Contracts calling for removals don't necessarily have to end in death, however - you are free to deal with any job in any manner you see fit. Infiltrators are typically very good at socializing, sneaking, gathering information, bribing, spying and the sort, whereas their combat skills don't always need to be the greatest.
