Just passing here to welcome the two members who applied for the group, and announcing that soon the rp will start even if no more people applies. No reason for waiting so much anyway, I'm sure more people will be interested later.
A tip of the perennial hat to all involved, and thanks to RayaneFelix for giving me a shot at this.
I've been involved with FRP/RPGs for a good while now. I started with tabletop games, then our group moved online (but still real time) as various members moved away.
Eventually discovering play-by-post ("PbP") and play-by-email was a wonderful thing for me. I never had the chance to roleplay as much as I wanted around the tabletop (whether real or virtual). But when you're writing rather than talking -- and can take the time to formulate what you're going to say and do -- it's possible to get a lot closer to collaborative writing. I've always been about the story, so I loved it.
I've been fortunate to connect with some great players who are more about roleplaying than "roll playing," more about "Rule of Cool" than "rules as written." The mechanics are still there of course, but they usually don't get in way of weaving a good tale.
Still, I'm always on the lookout for more. (Greedy? Moi?) Kwin is a refugee from a PbP game that died, leaving him orphaned. I really enjoyed playing him, so I thought I'd make him an opportunity to try something even more open.
Which is to say I've never participated in "official" free-form roleplay before, so don't hesitate to call me on it if I do something stupid. I don't think I'll embarrass anyone, though. :o)
Definitely looking forward to this!

I have born on the PbP ever since I had 16. I's a wonderful thing, to create stories with other people, see it growing. It really is amazing.
Anyway, like I have said before, your character is great, just like the others who had joined so far. Can't wait to see how we'll be playing!
Oh, btw, I'm sorry for the long delays. I shall post and reply the pms accordingly!
