This is an 18+ species and community! Because of the gore and vore and all the other little.... Fun things that comes along with being a Howler, you the player, must certify that you are, indeed, 18 in real life (irl).

You are active within Furcadia. This is the game client we play on that we all know and love. I know real life gets in the way sometimes. I'm a student, an instructor, and a preventions counselor, therefor I feel your pain and empathize when things don't work how you want etc. etc. However, in order to be accepted into this race, we ask to see you around to rp with once every two weeks. That's not too bad right?

Use common since!!! This is a basic rule that I like to use as it encompasses so many things! For instance, don't be an idiot and post something stupid in the forums. Or don't god mode etc etc. You have a brain (I hope!). Use it!

You must follow the rules for becoming a Howler, or a Construct! In order to have an already established character change into a Howler, you have to follow these rules! It's not an easy feat to become a Howler and is very painful. Sure, it's hard to become a werewolf or vampire. However, with Howlers, there is a 60% possibility they will die upon trying, 30% possibility they -may- get some of the Howler's abilities (halfbreeds, vile vermin), and only 10% chance they may become a full Howler. This will be further explained below.

PUT ALL INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER INTO YOUR PROFILE~! Please! It's very annoying to be RPing with someone and they do this random OP bs that wasn't even in their profile for the person to know about. This is just silly to do! Don't want other characters to know your shit? Post a rule about it on there and if they use it there's a block button! I would much rather RP with someone whom I can see everything about their character on their page.

Unless your character is told or are a Howler yourself, your character will have no idea what they are!!! This kind of goes with use common since. =/ They were a secret experiment by the Japanese government, there for it's very very very unlikely another character would know what they are. Also, if you play a Howler in any form, you may want to add this rule to your own personal profile or rick having people be all like "hur dur I knu wut u be cuz i awsum!" lul
  • Constructs

As explained above, it's not an easy feat to have your already established character change into a Howler. Here are some rules to go along with that.

Your character must drink the blood of a Progenitor at least 6 times per attempt! Their blood is putrid, worse than a vampires. It smells and tastes of rotting blood and sulfer. Likely after the first 3 or more times your character may become violently ill. The blood eats away at the wanna-be Howler, slowly killing them. However, there is the benefit that with each drink the possible constructs own abilities will rise as long as they are not defined as 'holy'.

You MUST consent to the possibility of your character dying! This may seem a little... Much. But you must understand there is a huge risk when agreeing to attempt to become a Howler. In the end, Howlers are after one thing.... Meat <3. In the prospect your fail and are found weak and die, the progenitors will treat themselves to your character. This doesn't mean you're going to find some ass backwards way of saying your character lives! "HUR DUR! I watch Harry Potter n my chara has their soul fixed on objects around the world so he can't die he'll come back!!" Sure the soul may be fixed to something, but how will they return when they have no body? Further more, might be more inclined to actually believe something like this if it's stated on your toon's profile rather than you just saying it because it's convenient. Also, you can't just "heal" the blood away, doesn't work like that considering it's been eating at your toon's vital organs for some time.

Dice Rolls This was the only fair way we could think to judge if a toon becomes a Howler or not. First you will roll a 1d10 to determine if your character dies a horrible vile death or becomes even a small portion Howler.

    1-6: Insta-death! Omnomnomnomnom time!
7-10: Congrats! Your character lived and is now at least an little Howler!

If you rolled 7-10, welcome aboard! Now to determine how much of a Howler you will become you will once again roll a 1d10!

    1-2: You're a lil Howler! about 10%
    3-4: 25%
    5-6: 50%
    7-8: 75%
9-10: Congrats! You've beaten the odds and are a full Howler!!! Yay!

If your character gets 5+ on the last roll and is 50% or more Howler, their species then becomes Howler rather than having it as a sub-species. Self explanatory.

If you end up not becoming a full Howler, you can attempt again while once again taking on the chance your character could die! You can attempt this three more times with the likelyhood of your toon dying becoming less and less. Second attempt 1-5 death. Third 1-4 death. From there, you add what ever percentage was before, to your current percentage. Say you sucked on your first attempt and got only 10% but then you tried again and you got 75%. You'd combine them to 85% Howler!

As stated in the General area, your Construct Howler must have all information pertaining to the character on their profile! This means their own small abilities, abnormalities from the change, etc. etc. You have two weeks after becoming a construct to add in this information on your profile. Failure to do so, without talking to a Progenitor, will result in ignoring the RP occurred and, if you're still interested, you'd have to make the attempt again.

Just like the Nobles, Constructs must heed the word of their Progenitors. The Progenitors are basically the "Alpha's" of the Howlers. Their word is law and they seem to have some sort of control over them. Never will they actively "control" your characters actions!!! By accepting to become a Howler, you are consenting to this rule!

Upon becoming a Howler, no matter how weak they are, you must submit the form in the Forum section to the Constructs area of the forum! This is so that we can keep up with what Howlers are out there and what their abilities are. When you submit the form, it is subject tot he Progenitor's approval or denial. A denial would mean that you need to go back and work on whatever the reason it was denied for. If you need help with it please seek out the Progenitors!!! Our characters bite but we dont!!!..... Much. =3
  • Nobles

Nobles are Howlers that were made by the human hand still, much like the Progenitors but no where near as strong. These will be brand new characters designed to be Howlers.

In order to make a brand new character as a Howler, BOTH Progenitors must accept you OOCly!!! This is usually one of us suggesting someone to the other or someone caught our eye or asked to be considered. One, or both, Progenitor may ask you to RP with them for a little bit on another toon to get to know you and your RP style a little better. Because of this, it may take some time to be accepted. Howlers are only the strongest and the best, there for we would like strong experienced RPers to join us!

If you are accepted by both Progenitors, design your character and submit the form in the Forum area to the Nobles are on the forum! You are not allowed to RP your new Howler toon until it is accepted in the Nobles area!!! This is so that the Progenitors can determine, together, if your toon meets the Howler's standards. Again, if you need help with anything designing your new character, please feel free to ask a Progenitor! We don't bite.... Much =3

You must have everything for your Howler fleshed out in your profile! This includes, but not limited to, powers, abilities, age, how they came to be, etc etc.

Just like the Constructs, Nobles must heed the word of their Progenitors. The Progenitors are basically the "Alpha's" of the Howlers. Their word is law and they seem to have some sort of control over them. Never will they actively "control" your characters actions!!! By accepting to become a Howler, you are consenting to this rule!
