TRIBAL OFFICIALS

A group of six individuals who come together to consult, deliberate, or make decisions regarding the island and it's residents. Only four positions currently filled.
ATILLIATOR:
Descritpion: Skilled castle worker who makes crossbows
BALIFF:
Descritpion: In charge of allotting jobs to the village peasants/servants, building repair, and repair of tools used by the peasants
BARBER:
Descritpion: Someone who cut hair. Also served as dentists, surgeons and blood-letters
BLACKSMITH:
A metalsmith who creates objects from wrought iron or steel.
CASTELLAN:
Descritpion: Responsible for the work of a castle's domestic staff
CHAMBERLAIN:
Descritpion: Responsible for the great chamber and for the personal finances
CHAPLAIN:
Descritpion: Provided spirtual welfare for laborers and the castle garrison. The duties might also include supervising building operations, clerk, and keeping accounts. He also tended to the chapel
CLERK:
Descritpion: Checked material costs, wages, and kept accounts
CONSTABLE:
Descritpion: A person who took care (the governor or warden) of a castle in the absence of the owner. This was sometimes bestowed upon a great baron as an honor and some royal castles had hereditary constables
DIPLOMAT:
The diplomat should be an excellent negotiator but, above all, a catalyst for peace and understanding between peoples. The diplomat's principal role is to foster peaceful relations between states. This role takes on heightened importance once war breaks out. Negotiation must necessarily continue but within significantly altered contexts.
DITCHER:
Descritpion: Worker who dug moats, vaults, foundations and mines. Also known as sapper
ERERER:
Descritpion: Brought and heated water for the nobles
GRAVEKEEPER:
Descritpion: Digs graves and buries the deceased, also in charge of keeping trouble makers out of the graveyard
GROUNDSKEEPER:
Descritpion: They tend to the area around the castle
HEALER:
A method of treating diseases / injuries by magical means or traditional practices.
HOUSEKEEPER:
Description: Cleans and cares for the inn rooms and main common areas

SCULLIONS: Responsible for washing and cleaning the kitchen.
MARSHAL:
Descritpion: Officer in charge of a household's horses, carts, wagons, and containers; his staff included farriers, grooms, and carters. He also oversaw the transporting of goods
MESSENGERS:
Descritpion: Servants of the lord who carried receipts, letters, and commodities
MINER:
Descritpion: Skilled professional who dug tunnels for the purpose of undermining a castle
MINSTRELS:
Descritpion: Part of of the castle staff who provided entertainment in the form of singing and playing musical instruments (jester)
REEVE:
Descritpion: Supervised the work on lord's property; checked that everyone began and stopped work on time, and insured nothing was stolen; senior officer of a borough
TAILOR:
Description: Responsible to alter, repair and create clothing according to resident needs
WATCH CHIEF:
Descritpion: The big boss of the Watch, coordinating the actions of the guard, administering high-level discipline, interacting with nobles, and setting down the laws.

Watch note: Members who show promise to rise in the ranks are often cross-trained where applicable in order to cultivate a stronger and more capable guard.
HUNTERS:
Description: These Watch members report in at the main guardhouse and search for known criminals which are at large. They are also first responders to most alarm calls, and use stealth to follow beings of interest to gather information.
WATCHERS:

Description: Those that stay in general areas that need constant attention due to traffic, such as the market and beach where beings gather. Beings with sharp eyes and good judgement are given these posts and are often familiar with most residents on sight.
SCOUTS:
Lota Tane (NPC), Ka'ohu Ne'igalomea (NPC)
Description: They range out across the island, patrolling the wild areas to ensure that they are safe, and to keep an eye out for pirates, bandits, or rival tribe members. Having strong survival skills these beings may be out for weeks before returning to the guardhouse at times.
MYSTICS:
Description: Involved in everything that has to do with speaking to spirits for signs that might help the isle. Either foretelling danger, or tracking down beings of interest. These are at least part shaman in nature and take on the task of interrogation of tough individuals.
