How many points do we get to distribute in our nine abilities?
All attributes start at 1, as I'm sure you know, skills at 0.
In White Wolf, default for supernatural characters (I guess Cyborgs in this case, who already have points in things) start at 15, but human characters get 21. I'll say 21 for now for everyone.
These points also can be used for abilities and other things, as well.
I haven't set any of the standards yet, as I don't know what will be fair and balanced in the long run.
edit: Hold that thought, let me figure it out.

From the White Wolf wiki wrote:
Freebie points are exchanged for traits at varying rates; one dot in an Attribute typically cost 5 freebies, for example, while a dot in an Ability cost 2. Unlike dots bought with experience, dots bought using freebies do not become progressively more expensive at higher ratings; the fifth dot in an Attribute costs the same number of freebies as the third.

Okay. Here's a table I just whipped up from some of WW's stuff.
Backgrounds aren't written out. Augmentations is our version of Disciplines, and we haven't gotten all of those set up yet. Other than that, attributes and skills are pretty much standard, let me put them here;
Attributes
(All start at 1, for everyone, putting points in just makes them higher values for your characters)
Skills / Abilities
(Have to be trained, though can be used untrained with a penalty.
So the number of points you get to spend on every trait (backgrounds, attributes, abilities, augmentations, etc) comes down to what the Storyteller or GM is willing to give you. In the end, it's your character, so you decide what sounds best for you. Just try to keep things around 3-4 points at most. 4 dots is very outstanding for a trait anyway.
Here's the dots images for use in biographies or profiles. Optional, but they're there. To do more than 5 dots, just use two back to back.
https://imgur.com/a/cN0LT
I will set the standard number of points to 21. That seems feasible. Since your character is a cyborg, you get a little bit of leeway to spend points in augmentation as you see fit (not a lot written about them, but you can write your own too if you can't find what you like). We'll say 3 dots if that works for you. That's enough to advance in 1-3 different augmentation trees.
I'd still like to hear what you think, though!
Trait Attribute Ability/Skill Augmentation Background Willpower |
Cost 5 per dot 2 per dot 7 per dot 1 per dot 1 per dot |

It sounds good, my only problem is I'm only familiar with WW's stuff in theory, I have never gotten the chance to use them. I play a lot of D&D though so it seems like not a lot of points to me. But that, in all fairness, is based on me having 3s 4s or 5s in most of my untrained skills in other games. Is it it 21 points for everything combined, or are Attributes separate from adding to Skills/Abilities? I don't know how well to set up my character without set classes, lol.
Hey, it's all good. I'm learning it too but once I figured out the basics it's actually really easy. More than happy to sit down and help you with it.
That being said, I'm guessing you want a well-rounded cyborg character. This is difficult to do because we use Augmentations to symbolize cybernetic enhancements, and not skills. Often times the augmentations will increase or decrease stats, but most of that isn't written yet. The ones we're working on right now are listed in the System page if you scroll down, keep in mind they're all basically massive work in progress. You can also make your own augmentations up, too. They're basically just talent trees. They give you skills or enhancements, for example, an eye modification that lets you see more with each dot you invest in it. Like...
Enhanced vision and motion tracking
Heat vision
Infrared
X-ray
Overwatch (you can watch people through cameras or something)
Just an example to explain how augmentations work.
As far as anything else goes, I put together my stats by hand, and without the use of points. I'm perfectly okay with people doing that as long as they don't crank outside of the realm of possibility. We have to remember that an average human being doesn't usually have anything impressive about them. For instance, attributes and abilities are something everyone has and can use, but when you put points (or dots) into them, you become better than average.
Let me show you a character sheet:
Attributes
Abilities
Advantages
This is a super basic character sheet with everything set to the baseline. 10 dots is "normal" humanity, which means no augmentations or modifications. As you progress in augmentations, your humanity score will go down, resulting in increased chance of destructive impulses, personality issues, and so on. You can take away from Humanity to add into augmentations, if you want. One dot for each dot you invest in any one of the augmentations you choose. Have to be careful not to use that humanity to get free augmentations. It's actually better not to use humanity and instead to use freebie points you get at the start, but that can cost you in other skills. As you're making your character from scratch, I'll let you decide what you want your humanity set at, but keep in mind there is definitely a trade-off in humanity if you augment yourself.
Willpower is always by default 5, you can put points into it to increase your willpower which will allow you to do more in situations that might otherwise tax your character's willpower. Willpower is used only by the Storyteller, so you don't need to worry about it too much.
Anyway, to modify this thing all you need to go is switch the dot images out. Here's the page with all of them.

Thank you, I put it on the character sheet, if there is anything about it that you would want changed just tell me and it will be done. I look forward to surviving Terra 2077.
As far as your augments go, I'm still writing them out, but if you have any ideas about what could be added lemme know.
Though for your character sheet, some of your stats look a little low. You don't have to hold back completely. Just don't go overboard!
See mine for example.

Oh! I didn't get a chance to read this until I'd already filled in my stats. It seems I was very liberal with points - I'll adjust that in a moment.
Dang, 4 points in firearms. Don't personally have a problem with that, but that's a little higher than usual. Skills can always be increased over time either way, if you choose.
Naw, you're right. I was going to lower that to 3 but must have forgotten to save the changes. Fixed now. Does anything else stand out to you?
Also, perhaps it might be helpful to give examples of what each stat level represents. For example:
BRAWLING
0 points - Your everyday Joe/Jane who's never been in a fistfight.
1 point - Maybe you've been in a few scuffles and can avoid embarrassing yourself.
2 points - You're the toughest brawler on your block. You can brawl better than 80% of the population.
3 points - You make a career out of brawling. You can brawl better than 90% of the population.
4 points - You are a FISTICUFFS LEGEND. You can brawl better than 95% of the population.
5 points - In addition to being a FISTICUFFS LEGEND, you have cybernetic implants that make you EVEN BETTER at pummeling people. (99th percentile)
Would that be accurate?

That'll be put here when it's done. I'm chipping through that part of the info bit by bit.
And yeah, heh, you're on the right track!

Oh yeah, I fixed up my stats a little bit, I believe I have less points then you, but that only seemed logical.

Maybe I like it when everyone else is stronger than me.

I will keep that in mind ;p
Okay. I gotta bump this topic. Everyone's actually using shitty stats. True story. I was primarily to blame, but we can actually afford more, most of us.
If any of you are familiar with Vampire, you'll know that at the start you prioritize categories where your stats will go. Let me walk you through how it works. I'll do this by introducing you to my VTR character, Crowley.
You'll notice that I pick three categories for my Attributes and my Skills to disperse into.
For Attributes, you get a 5, a 4, and a 3 category.
For skills, you likewise get an 11, 7, and a 4 category.
That means dots, NOT EXPERIENCE POINTS. After you create your character, attributes cost 4 experience points and skills cost 2 experience points.
Merits are a different thing, we'll talk about those later, for now here's a quick guide to making your character. This is fresh, starting out, blank slate. Count the dots accordingly and you'll see what I mean.
The first 3 dots in each attribute category are crossed out because they are free of charge. You cannot start lower than 1 point in each attribute. IGNORE THEM. You're focusing on everything past the first dot in each attribute. That's what you're adding on to, if you wish. Skills are not the same. They start at 0.
Feel free to browse the actual sheet here.
