Places
The major hubs include the docks and shipyards (primarily on the northern edge of the city against the sea and strait, smaller ports on the northern against the inlet), the market districts, housing districts, lower market ('meat' market with fish, meat, livestock, and slaves), the shantytown elfslums, the underworld (not so much a place as a sprawling collection of underground settlements - an entire other city on the flip side deep into the earth), the quarry and adjoined slums of slaves, lepers, and lowlife scum.
These are just a few examples of other places you can expect to find and should consider:
The Walls
This and this should give one a better idea of what the walls are like and the city in general (with great creative liberties taken) - there are over twenty towers, at least four major ports and a great many minor, not to mention the many gates along both the western walls and the northern lining the banks of the Silver Horn.
They're primarily of limestone and brick - and many bodies make up that stone, the repurposed remains of the dwarven slave race, the kallin, built into the walls likely by the hand of their own kin.
There are inner-city walls as well separating sections of the city, in particular those around the main palace grounds.
Aqueducts
A feat of engineering that brings water from the springs and rivers of the forest and mountains right into the city.
The Ports
This is an excellent example of a major port, where the river runs into the sea.
The southern and eastern borders of the city against the water have a great many ports surrounding the banks of the inlet and conjoining sea - many traders do their work here among sailors outside the city walls, in particular ship based 'shops' and livestock merchants. There are also long stretches of beaches and on the northeastern most edges of the city, steep cliffs overlooking the Silver Inlet.
Gardens
The citizens of the monster empire are fond of richly cultivated inner-city gardens for recreational and ornamental purposes. There are extravagant villa with grand fountains, 'pleasure gardens' with walking trails and fine statuary, sometimes accompanied by small orchard or vineyard. There is much use of mosaics and frescos, sprawling flower beds, and fountains. A shrine of some kind can be found in most.
The Adush elves may not be very fond of other peoples, but they are excellent gardeners and often appointed to this task - such elven slaves are highly prized by many a palace and temple. Their slums may be poorly maintained overall, but their gardens are admittedly well kept and much of their living is made off of fruit sales.

The Quarries - The Earthly Prison
There is perhaps at least one prison tower in the city, but it is reserved for political prisoners or those of important note. The real prison is across the strait on the eastern bank, a great pit in the earth that looks over jagged cliffs to the busy roads and port settlements in the distance, ferrying travelers across the water to the city proper.
In the suffering settlements among ruins and hollowed earth, the most hopeless of wrecked people can be found surviving among prisoners and slaves, lost in the dark ring encircling the prison being dug deeper and deeper into the earth. The initial idea was excavation of the original ruins, but among the discoveries of metal and stone is a precious material sought by the monarchy and her alchemists.
The Hippodrome
A massive arena where much goes down here - often used for military exercises and prisoners when not filled for government hosted gladiatorial sports, chariot races, executions, public announcements, and more. It's a vital spot in the city!
There is also a smaller amphitheatre, but it's less used and more for theatrical productions.
