    02/15/17 Public Safety Alert: The body of Hiro Michi was discovered recently. Suspect is still at large, and caution is advised while traveling alone.

    Community Meeting Schedule

    Once a month, the New Versailles precinct will host a public community meeting. Please join us at our next meeting to discuss current events and concerns regarding your police department and your community. For information regarding upcoming meetings, please contact the precinct and speak to an available public service agent.

    Community Oriented Police Enforcement (COPE) Unit

    The NVPD COPE unit is tasked with addressing various issues of concern to the community, including traffic complaints, quality of life issues and involvement in charitable or community-focused events. Officers who have elected to serve as members of COPE are available regularly to meet with community groups, schedule tasks and provide public safety during public presentations.

    Precinct Crime Division (PCD)

    The PCD is responsible for investigating most misdemeanor and violation offenses as well as domestic incident complaints that occur within the confines of the precinct. Certain misdemeanor and violation offenses will require further investigation by the precinct’s detective squads.
