Incident: I was dispatched to the scene near Perdition Park. It was a code 10-37. I was given instructions to arrive 10-39. I called in approximately 20 minutes later, called a 10-23 and investigated the Toyota Landcruiser Ute. I gave the license plate. XCC 151, the year came back 2005. The truck was on fire and was completely filled up with fuel. Driving tracks make it seem the driver had intentionally driven his vehicle off the road and into a nearby cliff to kill himself, exploded on impact. There was no remains to be found, no bones. Likely all burned to ash since it was incinerated at high temperatures. Crates of fur and meat littered across and nearby.
Detail of Event: Tracks went off road clearly state the driver intentionally drove himself off the road as well as an increased speed. Suicide most likely. Crates of fur and packaged meat was hunter equipment. There is no note found anywhere near crash site or nearby the cliff. No ID. A simple sad case of a good suicide leaving no trails to follow.
Actions Taken: Dispatch called it in, I arrived at scene ETA 20 minutes...took pictures and details of what I could. As well as tire tread marks that lead to the cliff crash on impact. Suicide was noted over the radio after confirmation that the tracks did indeed, go straight for cliff with an increase of speed.
Summary: Unknown victim drove himself off the cliff and killed himself. Witness called it in and we arrived on scene, to find no body or ID of the victim. Cold case of suicide. Highly suggest CSI assistance.
