The land of Theron

The land of Theron, is a rather fantastical one. With two main nations and a smattering of smaller fringe nations along them.

The first nation Solarus is the nation of "man" consisting of the races of light. (Humans, Elves, dwarves, ect ect) Solarus is considered a tightly ruled nation with a STRONG chaste system enforced by a strong religiously centered (and some might argue corrupt) government. The majority of the land is covered with open plains and forests, with snow to the far north. The cities of this nation are known to be vast and well defended behind large walls, in order to defend the common people from attack by "feral" monsters. To combat these monsters the ruling figures of the government decided to create the elite Templar Knights in order to face them and act as protectors of each city. How effective and honorable these knights are differs from city to city, but for the most part they are effective at what they do.

The second nation is simply known as "The Bad-Lands" to the outside world....it has it's own proper name, by very few have the proper tongue to pronounce it. This nation is more mountainous and less hospitable than it's neighbor, and it's citizens have evolved to match these conditions. This is the nation of Demons (Proper demons, Dark Elves, the undead, and civilized monsters) and is ruled by a monarchy. Demons are seen as higher in status than other "monsters" of the bad-lands and the royal family has always been known to be demonic in nature. This nation is known to be more militaristically minded, and will delve deeper into the more scientific aspects of magic than the religious ones. Working magic into more of a weapon typically than the kingdom of Solarus might.
(Side note on demons in this world. They long ago evolved from monsters and became a species all their own. so occasionally some more monstrous traits may still display in them, as well as other traits depending on interspecies breeding. However the more "pure blooded" demons tend to be of higher class)

Geographically you can picture the continents of the two nations to be almost shaped like twin lungs, with a long thin strip of harsh desert land connecting the two of them in the lower center, known as the collective Frontier. If you were looking on a map Solarus would be to the West, The bad lands to the East, and the dessert strip of the Frontier right in the middle connecting them. This Frontier is the homeland of the beastials, animalistic humanoids who have been vying to get their stretch of land recognized as it's own country for a long time....unsuccessfully, and have been shut back into submission whenever they gain too much strength by one or another of the two main nations. Many of the two main nations battles against each other are fought here as well, so this area has seen better days...but at the same time is known to have some of the richest individually governed trading ports because of it's location.

Beyond that, there are a smattering of smaller island nations scattered around the various areas of the sea, each owing their various allegiances to the sides of the conflict they chose
