This is where one would take a breather and enjoy the outside air. It's also a place where people can enter if they're too lazy to go through the traffic at the front.
Tanner gazed around the outside, enjoying his fresh air. He kept thinking about his parents. The ones he grew up without. The ones he never really knew.
He sighed, clutching his heart. No one would care if he curled up in a ball and died. He didn't know anybody outside of the hospital. He didn't know any family. He never even made a friend. He wasn't sure that he belonged in this world.
Tanner decided to head back inside. He stayed out long enough already.

Raven crashed through the door. She closed it and pushed something up against it to block it.
Tanner watched her.
"Hey, are you trying to get out too?" he wondered.
"Hey, are you trying to get out too?" he wondered.
"Water?" he asked. He then nodded and motioned for her to follow him. Meanwhile, the officers were banging on the door and commanding Raven to open it up.
Raven followed him. She was surprised he wasn't trying to kill her.
Behind a tree, Tanner pulled out a black backpack. Unzipping it, he pulled out a bottle of water and handed it to her.
"Here. I was going to escape today, but I forgot to get my change of clothes."

Raven took the bottle and eagerly downed half the liquid in gulp. () Gasping for air, she breathed in and out for a moment. She looked over at the guy who gave her the bottle.
"Thanks. My throat was dry as hell and I could barely speak." She said, handing the bottle back to him.

Tanner began pushing the bottle back to her.
"Take it. You're gonna need it if you're getting out of here. My name's Tanner."

Raven shrugged. "Raven." She said. "And what do you mean by 'getting out of here'? Aren't I already outside?"
Tanner shook his head. "They'll still get you from here. You need to go far."
Tanner handed her another bottle of water. "If you stay here, they'll catch you. I heard police cars pull up. They sent a whole squad here."

"I see" Raven said, both hands full with a water bottle, "What's the nearest safe place?"
Tanner shook his head.
"That, I don't know. I was going to make my way to Mesa when I escaped. I guess now I'll be buying you time."
"That, I don't know. I was going to make my way to Mesa when I escaped. I guess now I'll be buying you time."
"Less people," he answered. "If you're careful enough, no one will find you."
Tanner heard intense screaming coming from the barricaded door. "Just make sure that no one sees you leave Tucson. Run! I think they're coming for you!"

Tanner turned and faced the barricaded door. He needed to go back in there. He needed his clothes. Suddenly, a man flew out the back window of the third floor screaming. He crashed into the ground. Coincidentally, he was holding Tanner's clothes. Tanner was shocked as he ran over and snagged it. Looking up, he didn't see anything other than blood. He was scared now. But he had to run away.
He quickly changed and discarded his uncomfortable hospital wear and snagged his bag.
"Things just get weirder and weirder," he mumbled as he began walking around the hospital.
