Cat Who Stalks Secrets knew it's enemy was seeking it out. Likely, the spirit was already hurting Cat's brood to find where Cat was. This was unfortunate. It made Cat appear weak, unable to protect those that sought it's protection.
But there was little to be done. Painful Release of Ecstasy was a true threat, one not easily placated. It spent too much time with it's Anshega allies to go back to it's previous life. It would never settle down and return to it's old life. If it were capable of feeling remorse, Cat Who Stalks Secrets wouldn't. Too many spirits had fallen to the Red Scorpion's ambition, those who stood in it's way were met with the Siskur-dah, torn apart with fang and claw.
Fly on the Wall landed beside cat. Cat regarded his ally knowingly. With a nod, it's orders were given and Fly flew off towards the tower, Cat was in luck this night.
Not long after, Cat heard a familiar noise of hissing and clicking that heralded the arrival of it's enemy. Painful Release of Ecstasy was larger than it had right to be, nearly as large as it had been when it was bound as a totem.
"Cat Who Stalks Secrets, it has been too long." the Scorpion said, it's mouth clicking and sighs of passion escaping with each word.
"Has it been so long? Here I was thinking I'd only just celebrated the news you'd fallen to the Urdaga." Cat said with a yowl of contempt.
The Scorpion laughed, a sickening sound clipped with notes of humans in the throes of passion. It strode forwards confidently.
"How disappointed you must have been when your spies fell dead to my stinger. And as for the Urdaga, it is my understanding you've reached out to these newcomers, this pack encroaching on my territory. Is this so?" it hissed it's accusations.
"This is untrue. I have not sought these Uratha, though I have many secrets they should like to know." Cat said warily. Again the Scorpion laughed.
"Bender of Truths came to me saying otherwise. It told me, before it met my stinger, that you offered up the knowledge that keeps you safe from my anger. That would be foolish, Cat Who Stalks Secrets, even your own brood seems to know that." the arrogance in it's enemies voice made Cat's hairs stand.
"If the price is right, I cannot refuse to sell a secret, you know this." it replied in a barely restrained yowl.
"Well here is a new deal, old friend; your life for Be Defeated Nevermore's bane. Choose quickly, my patience is short." the Scorpion said, voice dripping with menace.
Meanwhile, Silent Wings of Knowledge lead the Uratha and their allies to Cat who Stalks Secrets while Fly on the Wall explained to Caretaker-of-History's audience the situation just down the street from them.

Helen raced after Rory with 'Nevermore and Riddles in tow. It was easy to find Silent Wings of Knowledge, shockingly so and Helen began to wonder what was going on. Usually spirits were wary of Uratha at best, but the owl spirit practically seemed to be waiting for them.
They explained themselves quickly, and the spirit took to the sky to lead them to Cat. Helen noted that they were heading towards the Outreach Center and raced on all the harder.
When they arrived she could hear a terrible voice, one from her drug induced nightmares; The Red Scorpion's. It was talking with cat, but she was too busy running to make sense of what was going on, until she and Rory came to an abrupt stop.
"Well here is a new deal, old friend; your life for Be Defeated Nevermore's bane. Choose quickly, my patience is short." the terrible voice hissed. That was Helen's nose picked up a familiar scent, and the sounds of her packmates racing to the same place from a different angle.
Cat stared directly at Rory, despite him being obscured from sight, and grinned ear to ear like the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.
"Oh, I have a secret of much greater importance to you, old friend; I knew Bender of Truths would seek you in your den. You find me here because I've chosen to allow it. Nothing that goes on in this city escapes my watchful eyes, but you have forgotten this." confidence filled Cat's voice as the Scorpion realized what it was saying, the Pleasure spirit wheeled around in the direction Cat was staring.
"Should your offer still stand, Rory of the Bone Shadows, I would like to let you know that Painful Release of Ecstasy cannot tolerate being struck by antivenom made from native creatures." cat purred mischievously. The Scorpion hissed and clacked it's claws in fury, sighs of painful lovemaking escaped it's body.

Fly on the Wall wasn't the most verbose spirit they had been with, but maybe it was too busy flying faster than they ran to really keep it's words steady. Rashid had put together that Painful Release of Ecstasy was close, and that Cat Who Stalks Secrets was part of this whole thing.
The serpentine corridors led out into a great clearing that just 'felt' like it was out of place. The feline spirit completely dwarfed by the enormous chitinous form that belonged to Painful Release of Ecstacy. With a thundering growl, Rashid crouched into a stalker's pose, ready to leap at his target if it made a sudden threat. He crept closer, and managed to catch bits of the conversation as the target of so much ire threatened Cat.
That's not good...wait Cat was too calm. And not even looking at its enemy. It was looking at...Rory? And Helen, on the other side. Then it let slip the juiciest secret that Rashid had heard in a long time. Release couldn't cover this one up. He howled in triumph. He wanted the foul thing to know that everyone knew. There was no way that he could stop Rashid's whole pack from getting away, and when they came back, the fight would be...REAL!

Luke let out a low growl when they came within sight of the arachnid that was the cause of all their problems. The sight of it worried him, but even with his injured leg he was prepared to follow the Rahu into the fray should he choose to attack.
Luke followed his companions eyes and noticed Helen and Rory as well, and his courage strengthened knowing that almost their whole pack was there. His ears swiveled forward at the Cat's words and Luke couldn't believe their luck, if it was that at all because it seemed such a deliberate thing releasing the secret where they could all hear.
Quickly he joined in Rashid's howl with his own clear, sharp sound to instill fear in their enemy and vigor in their pack.

Rory fingered the bottle he had prepared as he watched the who spirits. His eyes locked with the Cat’s. No, now was not the right time. Cat knew he was here, and the scorpion didn’t. Helen was in no condition for a fight and it would give away his position to the scorpion, and a protracted fight was exactly what he didn’t want right now.
A primal howl bellowed through the hisil’s eather. Rashid was here. Soon it was matched by Luke’s. Rory didn’t bother to look for where they were, the howls told him everything he needed to know about their position.
Helen Rory hissed Start making your way out of here. This isn’t a fight for us to finish the Scorpion anyway.
This spirit might just run at the idea of a couple of werewolves knowing its weakness now. But then again it might just strike. If it did the latter Rory wanted it to know the fear of being surrounded. It might think there were a lot more of them than there actually are in the moment of panic.

Cat Who Stalks Secrets watched from it's perch intently as Painful Release of Ecstasy seethed with rage at the trap it had sprung. It hissed and clacked, it's tail lashing out menacingly.
"This was foolish, Cat, they do not have my bane yet. I will not die here alone. These filthy Urdaga pups will not have the strength to defend their precious den after battle with me. My pack has already left them bleeding." it's voice dripped with hatred. It's threat was very real, unfortunately. Even with it's death, the Scorpion's mortal followers would be able to retaliate against the Forsaken pack. Even if the Scorpion's spirit allies would likely abandon them once their patron was gone.
"But you will die if you stay here, old friend." Cat said, clearly amused and pleased with it's self. "Perhaps my new friends will allow you to leave, allow you to prepare for the wolves coming to your door, perhaps they won't. Either way, I have made my choice; this territory will never feel your poison again while I yet live." and with that, Cat turned to leave. Fly and Slient Wings also left. 'Nevermore and Seeker stood firm beside their half-flesh allies.
"Coward! You hide behind these half-breeds! The moon-bitches' bastards! Cat! Cat!" when Cat didn't stop to reply, the Scorpion whipped around to face the wolves closing in on it.
"If you face me now, win or lose, know this; you will not have the strength to defend your precious humans from my pack. Claws alone will not crack my shell before I've maimed and killed several of you. Already one of your number spent the day being tortured by my pack, and you've expended energy to get her back. Word of my death will spread quickly to my pack, and this night they will come with fire and silver. Your fleshier kin will not survive that. But you will never again find me so exposed. The choice is yours, half-breeds." it snarled, making itself as big and intimidating as it could.

Rashid took another cautious step forward. Do it! It's alone! Later you will fight it while fighting silver. Fight them separately! He started salivating at the prospect of the great conflict, but he needed to know that his pack was with him. He flicked an ear back, listening for Luke while he looked past the armored abomination at Rose, Helen, and Rory. The thing was cornered, and surrounded. Sure, they didn't have the bane, but in that time, it could hunker down with silver and backup, or even flee and disappear.
Rashid began a walking a wide circle around it, watching it, looking for a gap in it's armor, sizing it up while he wondered which way the rest of them would turn. They had a chance, with Cat picking a side, they could spread some misinformation across the territory, give his pack even an hour of disorganized confusion to break their ranks. The Dollhouse was still occupied, as was the harbor warehouse. Without their leaders, the enemy would dissolve. There wouldn't be another chance like this.

Helen tensed, Rashid clearly wanted to fight, and Rory appeared to be ready to as well. She wasn't in a position to contend with an Ensihim, but if her pack pounced she would count her howls among theirs.
Still it nagged at her, the thought of their pack being targeted. Already she could feel her reserves of essence nearly drained, as she hadn't made time to go to their locus to replenish it after using so much to heal. And she was exhausted, in more way than one. She knew Luke was hurting too, and that they'd likely used at least some essence to rescue her. The Scorpion was right.
Without it's bane, they would not take the spirit down easily. And if they had to turn around and go to war with a half dozen wolf-bloods and over a dozen of their allies... Randy and Riley would be okay, but Cho, Echo, May... and Rashid's guests... the risk started to grow.
She wasn't sure if she should call this off because of the risk, or if her own fear was making her weak so she steeled herself to let the other's decide.

The tension in the area was so thick he felt like it might choke him if he dared breathe in. He could feel Rashid’s rage next to him like a drawn trigger, ready to go off but across the way his pack mates’ hesitation was apparent. We could take it, but at what cost? He wondered to himself. Still, he was ready to follow if their leader sprung. There was no way he would allow any of them to go into this fight alone.
Luke followed Rashid’s lead, spreading out in a circle as wolves do when the corner a prey with his own teeth bared and deep rumbling growl underlying the words of the Rahu. Their cards were on the table, the spirit surrounded now all they had to do was wait for it to make its play.

Rashid could feel the pair hesitate. This was one hell of an opportunity, but if they were concerned about their chances, their morale would affect the outcome. He couldn't risk them.
Hackles raised, Rashid refused to stop circling their prey as he snarled in the First Tongue. "Run. You have already resigned yourself to death. Retaliation is all you can hope for. Run fast, because when we catch you, there will be no mercy for you or any of your followers. You accuse Cat Who Stalks Secrets of being a coward, but you had to resort to torture and threats to deal with your "half-breed" foe. To make you confident enough to say you *might* be able to take one or two of us out right now." The large wolf was practically smiling. "You aren't long for either world."
He slowly walked further out and away from the Scorpion, stopping just in front of Luke during their next intersecting round, his body blocking the thing's direct path to his injured brother. It was all up to how desperate Painful Release of Ecstasy felt right now.

The Scorpion made a sound that took a moment to realize was a chuckle.
"I know full well the strength of your kind, Rahu of the Iminir. I am not so foolish or arrogant as to believe I would win the day here. But I do not need to, to see you pack die. The confidence mine feels, after making one of you bleed," it's eyes looked beyond Rashid to where Helen stalked. "Your victory is not as assure as you seem to think. I will enjoy killing you most of all, my dear." it said to Rashid, then back to Helen.
With that it made to leave using the only route available to it.

Rashid kept a wary eye on it until it was well out of reach. He pulled everyone together so they could talk before he lost what precious time he had left. "Before he rallies his weapons together, we need to strike them, hard. We need to get his bane. Hospital or a vet should have what we're looking for, right? Helen, go rest. I could feel your exhaustion from across the way. While your there, contact Rose. We should have an anonymous tip to the police to hit up the warehouse. How much you want bet they have drugs and weapons there?
Luke, I know it sucks on a shit leg, but I need you to hoof it out to either the vet or hospital. Think on your feet, we need antivenom. Better yet, Helen, someone at the Outreach can grab that, May might know someone. I'm going to need these two with me. There was already a coup at the Dollhouse, if we get the right people to show up, we can scare em out. Those that don't scare, we take out." There was urgency in his voice, this had to come together before Release could rally. This was what he wanted. This is what WE wanted.

Helen bristled at being sidelined. Bad enough she'd been made a fool of, singled out by their Prey and hesitated... now Rashid didn't trust she could pull her weight.
"I can call her, sure. But I'm not afraid of him, Rashid." she said as much to herself as him. By rights she should be dead right now, but she had been hurt before. Hunting through the pain was nothing new. Feeling helpless had been a shot to her ego, but it wasn't something that would go away if she wasn't allowed to hunt.
"I don't need to be coddled either. Luke told me about his vision, there's going to be spirits there. I'll replenish my essence by killing the Scorpion's brood. Besides, if I sit and rest much more there won't be anymore of these gangsters to kill." whether she said that to sound tough or not, she meant it. She needed to face them, soon.

The scorpoin knows we are coming for it. This isn't any big loss, it knew we were coming for it earlier. he shrugged.
Rory was glad discretion had won the day. A day could make a significant difference in the healing of his packmates. Rashid, you don't need to hear it from me, but, good call. Picking their fights, splitting up the opposing pack into weak elements, to divide and conquer. This was their plan, they couldn't play into that same strategy and unnecessarily weaken themselves.
Helen, it isn't about being afraid. Doing your part sometimes is as simple, and as important as being ready for the fight to come when it comes.
He chuckled to himself. It would have been pretty funny to see the look on the scorpion's face if after this big show of words it went back to find its pack's home a burnt out wreak, but no, no bombs today.
We should get back, we need to get Rose on busting their base of operations.

"Ha!" Rashid laughed, Helen's enthusiasm was great, dangerous, but fun. "Fine, come with, enjoy this. Just know it isn't the big fight, so keep yourself in check, I want you with us when we take that thing out."
The big grey wolf turned to where he knew the strip club stood, looking off at the distance, his bloodthirst grew. "Rory, when we're back on the other side, call Echo so we can move the rest of the crew. I want the boys out on the street picking off the street venders stupid enough to be out and Rose putting together a drug and weapon sting on the warehouse. We're headed there on this side, quicker the way we are. Meet us there soon as you're done, I'm betting you know some shortcuts here and will get there only minutes behind us."
Finally, a chance to have some fun. He ran.

Brian sat bored in the driver's seat of his baby, drumming on the steering wheel as they listened to an old Scorpion's cover by Iron Maiden. "Man, this sucks. I hate these on call hours. Been 13 hours straight, what have we got for it?" He mused aloud to his partner, third one this week. Noone on contract seemed to be able to keep up with his enthusiasm. "An old granma who had a stroke, and some asshole OD'd on Codeine. At least we got to pump that one's stomach, right? He swore Mike or Mark or whoever turned a shade of green. The kid wasn't cut out for work, needed to get back to his parent's pad.
He turned up the his tunes as the solo picked up and belted out the chorus. Matt winced, clearly a fan of country or some shit like that. As the song ended, he continued ranting "I mean, come on, 's not like anything interesting happens south of Mercy anyway. Why couldn't we wait around in west Harlem? Chances are we'd see a good bullet wound today." He took a glance at his watch. "Two hours, 10 minutes, and 5 shit songs to go."

No problem.
Rory shifted into wolf and ran off in the opposite direction from the outreach, the quickest paths were rarely the shortest here.
................................
Rory stepped through the locus point into the outreach melding back into his human form and grabbed the first pack member he say.
Riley, grab everyone together in the aerobics room , I've got some news to put out now. while Riley was on the move Rory fished out his phone and Dialed Rose.
Hey sis, its me. We have the info we need on the Scorpion, anti-venom made from local items, and the neighbor kids have decided they've outgrown their toys and decided to take the dollhouse apart sooner rather than later. talking in code was a little lame, but with what she has been saying about her partner, he didn't trust being blunt
in case he heard the voicemail.
Once the pack was gathered.
ok gang here is what is happening. We're taking down the Red Scorpions starting today. We started the hunt, now it begins in earnest. Rashid and the others are moving in on the dollhouse, I'll be joining them shortly, any of you itching for a fight are welcome to join. You can also help by keeping a look out for them and take them down when you see them. Pick off any of their dealers or members you catch out in the open.
If fighting isn't your thing- We have their totem's bane. It is anti-venom made from local items. So find what you can from where you can. In the meantime. Cho, drop a few anonymous tips to the police about the warehouse being a drug den, here's $100 to buy a drop phone. Here's a number Rose gave me. It is straight to one of the vice officers, she said it'd light a fire under their buts because that number is for informants. If he asks, you got it from a friend. Father I want you to lock up the outreach until this is over. We are going under renovations or something until this fight is over. If they strike at us here I don't want a bunch of the townsfolk being collateral. I think that about covers everything . Questions?
