(for the stuff not at the dollhouse, will fill in later)
Echo blew out a whistle of air after hearing the phone call. Anti-venom? That was going to be a hefty task, it was not hard to get, but expensive. But she knew a guy, well, she knew a group that knew a gal, who knew a guy, but close enough right?
She sat amongst the heady vapors of incense as the candle light broke the shadows with deep orange light. This group showed up at the book store regularly. They seemed to think that the answer to connecting with Gaia was buying every book and trinket on Wicca. They were always happy and really good customers so it seemed to be working out well for them. Heidi Shmultz, who had invited her to join them, “you know, whenever” and so she had stopped buy. Heidi had often talked about her sister Samantha, at the store. She was concerned because Samantha had started dating a guy that she thought was all wrong for her. In passing though she had mentioned how they had met. Samantha worked at animal control and he was the sales rep for their medical supplies. So over snacks after the service she chatted up Heidi.
Heidi, how have things been going?
Things have been going pretty well. Though I’m not looking forward to tonight
Really? What’s the matter hon?
Well, my sister and her boyfriend invited me to dinner tonight. I wish I could have just said I was sick or something but she knows I was coming here tonight and so she totally won’t buy it. It is just that her boyfriend is SO creepy. Everytime we talk I swear he is hitting on me, and my sister just doesn’t see it.
Oh you poor thing. Maybe he’s just being really friendly? she said encouragingly.

Well he hasn’t blatantly said anything, even when we’re alone. But he just makes me uncomfortable. Worse is we’re having dinner at his place…. she concentrated really hard on what was in her cup. Listen, I don’t mean to be creepy but would you go with me? I would feel so much better if I had a girlfriend with me- and I’d ask Lucy or Ashley, but then they would think it is a date and try to take ME home. I just want to spend the night with my sister and NOT have someone try to get into my pants you know? she looked up from her cup pleadingly at Echo.

Echo put her hand on Heidi’s shoulder affectionately Oh of course Honey. What are friends for, besides you’ve already been so nice inviting me to join you here, how can I not help a sister out? she smiled.

Dinner was a simple affair, but you could tell that Samantha and John had put a lot of effort into it. It was a home made meal, and she could feel the love that was put into it. The dinner conversation was polite, and Samantha seemed a little upset when Heidi first introduced her, and John was a bit surprised and went about setting a fourth table setting. During the course of the dinner they both seemed to really harp on the exact nature of Heidi and Echo’s relationship, and sure while Echo had dated girls before the tension seemed to lift when it was clear that Echo was just a friend. In fact Echo was pretty sure that Heidi had been worried about nothing until Echo excused herself to use the bathroom.

Third door on the left john said.

Echo was in shock when she opened the door. This was not a bathroom. The room was dominated by a large metal frame. Leather straps and ropes hanging from it. The walls were adorned in a combination of mirrors, and red drapes. On various stands and end tables in the room were black pleather outfits and other bondage toys. After her shock Echo started to close the door when a voice made her jump. John’s voice was in her ear, he had crept up upon her silently.

oh sorry John’s voice purred in her ear. My mistake, next door down he gestured as the door across the way, and a grin slimed its way across his face Of course, you’re more than welcome to use this one if you want too.

Oh, well thank you, but just the bathroom is fine she smiled.
The rest of the dinner proceeded nicely enough, and Echo was helping clean up the plates with Samantha in the kitchen.

Can you keep a secret? Samantha asked?

Um, sure, though I’ll totally tell you how I can do dishes without getting dishpan hands

No. she laughed John and I are pretty adventurous, and were hoping to talk my sister into spending a little more time with us. But she has seemed pretty reluctant to join us. You’re a pretty good looking girl, and you said you’ve been with girls before… so… do you think I’m pretty

Oh dear, you’re beautiful. Everyone really is after all, but sometimes people just don’t hear it enough. Still Echo knew where this was going. but let me ask you something. Can you keep a secret?
……………………..

The next morning Echo handed a small giftbag into Helen at the outreach. Inside were two bottles of copperhead anti-venom.
