A utopian, first-world African city, Numbani is a place that exists in a definite post-Omnic Crisis world. As such, Numbani does pride itself on being a place where omnics and humans can live together in peace and promotes itself as a 'city of harmony', and celebrates an event called 'Unity Day'.
Numbani is situated on Africa's western coast, along the belt that runs from Ghana to Nigeria and is bordered by savanna. Numbani Tours offers vacations to the city and are advertised quite frequently within the city itself.
In the decades following the Omnic Crisis, it was identified as a hotspot by Overwatch's watchful eyes. It is currently under threat by Doomfist, as he seeks to undermine the peace between humans and omnics here. After Talon tried to steal Doomfist's gauntlet from the Overwatch Museum, it was transferred to Numbani. Talon once again tried to steal the device while it was in transit.
Now that Doomfist's gauntlet is safe in Numbani, there is added tight security at where it is being held.
