Hello everyone! First off, I'm awfully new here, so sorry if I say anything out of place, I'm trying my best to be as polite as possible but mistakes still happen. Now, onto what I really wanted to talk about: my character for Overwatch is Flora and he's got an augmentation called the Floral Life Regenerative Apparatus (or FLRA). I'm currently trying to design it, but I'm not so sure. The plan is that the FLRA was an experiement medical device that gets implemented in Flora's lower spine when a cERTAIN JUNKER basically almost kills him and, not knowing what the FLRA truly does, implements it on him to see if he'll die in a "funny way." Little does he realize that the FLRA, if implemented in the spine (being as the most important functions of the body travel through the spine), can heal practically any heavily damaged body part and replace it with symbiotic plant cells that act as the equivalent to the lost animal tissue. So when the FLRA is placed on Flora's back, it scans him, calibrates to his spine, then sets in with small needles that hook under his skin and into his spinal tissue. I have some medical knowledge from my mother (who was a chiropractor) so I understand what it takes to implement the FLRA on Flora (drawing inspiration from characters like Dr. Octopus as well). This is an idea I drew of what it'll look like:
Plants grow on the user from the external spots affected and some plants grow from the FLRA itself as well. Carnivorous plants are preferred (I'm writing it so that Junkrat and Roadhog previously planted venus flytraps in it b/c they thought that venus flytraps are "metal as fuck") but really, any plant can be planted in it then removed and replaced when the plant's lifespan is up (being as human live longer than most non woody plants). The design of the FLRA is what I wanted to know about. Does it look right? Anything that needs to be improved?

Hey there, just moved your topic from the Holo Café to the Artisan's Square since this falls under the creative category. C:
As for designs, I think it looks pretty okay as is if you want to keep it relatively simple looking so that it's not an 'in your face' type of item for users to catch onto. I'm a fan of simplistic designs most of the time, especially seeing as many of my own character designs are simple in nature.
I think the only issue I can see is that if it's supposed to be along the spine, it should be longer to have a better effect range. Where it's located seems to be close to a more paralytic inducing zone (where doctors seem to piece pregnant women in order to stave off the pain of labour and childbirth; also where I've gotten lumbar punctures, which is awkward to think about when walking afterwards is hard).
I take it you definitely want it to be more visible for people, though I believe you might have to pull a Widowmaker and place it higher on your character's back -- have an open back outfit -- without it raising questions as to how their legs aren't jelly. :p

Ahhh, okay, cool! I'll definitely take your advice into account. Thanks so much!
