Kori Kouga ran along the rooftops, hopping along their wide gaps aided with the stealth kite she wore on her back. She had been stalking a number of technological specialists. Security was usually rather tight for many of them, while others just couldn't be trusted with what she needed them to do. Her weapons were in pristine working condition now, but that would not last. If they underwent any damage, her mission would be impossible to complete.
Detroit Michigan was a spawning ground for all manner of illicit technology. Finding quality among the quantity of underworld engineers was proving to be a monstrous undertaking. Already, she had to kill three people to protect her secret. She looked forward to still more, but for now, she needed to concentrate on the next phase of her mission.
She rested atop one of the lesser skyscrapers overlooking one of the darker neighborhoods. Those were the types of streets they warned women about. Don't go through them alone. Ever. The pop of firing bullets wasn't unusual. Normally Kori wouldn't bat an eye at this sort of thing anymore, but these were too numerous. The pops became almost a constant crackle of pulse munitions, followed by a burst of RPG fire.
That got the kunoichi's attention. She pulled out her kite and took to the sky once more. Perhaps a little action was just what she needed to unwind after her unsuccessful search.
